Lovely little modern pub and eatery which I *had* to visit. (It's a surname thing.) Wonderful to get there at 2pm and find the kitchen still open for another half an hour. Great classic pub food and a small selection of beers. Really enjoyed the raging fire on a chilly afternoon. The place is fairly new, very clean, and has a range of areas: bar, bistro, and outside where another patron had brought a couple of dogs. Glad I made the short diversion off the main road.

The setting was nice. The food was average. The kids spaghetti bolognaise was very dry and did not include any sauce. We waited for one hour for our food and had to ask for us to realise they hadn’t even started preparing it. Very disappointed with the service.

A new tavern that looks the part! The owner is ultra friendly and great to chat with while you just relax and take in the natural beauty of the forest! Definitely worth the visit and it has a kids play area for the family visiting!

My husband and I both ordered steak. Mine was well done and I asked for pepper sauce. The steak was mainly fat and gristle and it was tough. We have no idea what sauce they gave me as it had no flavour whatsoever. It just looked like melted butter. After having had steaks at the Pemberton hotel 2 days in a row ( The steaks were cooked to perfection and they had the best pepper sauce I've ever had) I thought it would be a hard ask to find a better steak or close to it). The garlic bread at the Quinninup Tavern was just thick toast. Couldn't taste any garlic. The lady behind the bar wasn't very friendly. I asked if the spring rolls had Mushroom in them and she said "I wouldn’t have a clue I know they are vegetarian. When the lady saw I didn't eat my steak she looked at me and said was it ok. I said it was that tough I couldn't eat it and that sauce was not pepper sauce. The lady took my plate and I heard her say to the people in the kitchen..." The lady said it's tough" funny how the Pemberton hotel could cook the most tenderest well done steak yet the Quinninup couldn't and nor could they make garlic bread. I wouldn't recommend the...

Service was great. Friendly helpful staff and the venue was nice and modern. I understand it's a new rebuild after the original burnt down. The downfall is with the food and the price of the food. $30-$35 dollar mains which are 75% deep fried chips, battered items and a simple salad, seems quite steep. I understand that remote taverns have higher overheads and must account for less consistent trade causing them to have slightly increased prices but any meal costing $30 or above should be, at a minimum, very enjoyable. I think the issue is that rural taverns have the association of good hearty meals at reasonable prices. If the dishes had been $10 each less, the value for money would have been par for the course. TL/DR Great staff and venue. Very expensive...

What a beautiful location. The rest was disappointing. The food was ok but nothing to rave about. We waited 40 minutes for our entrée and then needed to ask for plates to eat it. One of our party had old lipstick on her water glass! Very limited wine selection. The steak was large, but tough. The 4 small prawns in a tasteless sauce did not make it "surf and turf". The pepper sauce on the other steak appeared to be watered down cream with a dash of pepper. The vegetarian mains was pleasant but certainly not a main meal size. No baby change facilities. I certainly won't be going back to a place that should be offering the best of...
