McDonald's Scone — Restaurant in Scone

Was beyond terrible, ordered and waited over an hour and fifteen minutes for my order, along with a lot of other people, I wasn't in a hurry so I didn't mind all that much but other people were getting a little impatient (understandably, not everyone has that long to wait) and this wasn't helped any when one customer pointed out to me and a few other people that the drive thru was getting their orders within 5 minutes of ordering and was moving along quite quickly even though we had all been waiting so long. Another customer approached the service staff, fair enough he was impatient when he asked for a refund but he did point out to her that he'd been waiting an hour and ten minutes for an order, the girl behind the desk refused to refund him his money in quite a rude manner and he escalated by slapping a heap of drinks off the counter towards her before one of her fellow staff members ordered him to leave of which he did after he retrieved his children from the playground. Whilst I can agree that he overreacted, IMHO the entire situation could have been avoided if the girl hadn't been so blunt and rude in her refusal to refund him his money back and the other customers that were standing with me as well as my friends, were in agreement that he'd overreacted but that it could have been avoided if it had been handled better, I hope the man isn't put on charges for something that the staff could have easily avoided if the server hadn't been so rude to him. When I got my order, the nuggets were like stones and had clearly been overcooked and the sundae was less than half full with only a trickle of strawberry topping and the people that I was with, their burgers looked like they had been thrown into the box without a care given, with a majority of the cheese melted to the box as it hadn't even been placed onto the burger and the meat paddies were dry and burnt as well. Would never go back here again and wouldn't recommend...

Disgusting from the overflowing bin at the front door before 8am…only opened 3 hours prior! Toilets revoltingly dirty, crystallised pee on the floor in the ladies toilet, toilet paper everywhere. Rubbish all over the floor in the restaurant. Multiple staff doing nothing. We were the only ones in there & still waited nearly 20 minutes, then had to remind them to get the drink. Egg shell in both muffins myself & my husband had, yuk! Informed them the bathrooms & bins needed attention & they seemed shocked, but judging from the reviews they shouldn’t be! What the heck has happened to Maccas in the past 10 years or so??? It used to be somewhere that cleaners ran around, standards where high & if you’d worked at McDonald’s you were very employable because of the training & very high standards, certainly not the case anymore. It’s been 12 months or so since I’ve set foot in a Maccas, I knew the standards had slipped a bit, but come on McDonalds, this is not acceptable for a restaurant in Australia! I’ve travelled the world & can honestly say, most Australian Maccas are the worst in the world! Got inside at 9.50pm and waited patiently to be served. Lots of people inside waiting for orders and cars going through drive-thru, and as we didn't know the opening hours, we assumed we'd be served. A young staff member holding an order said to the both of us, 'no more orders we're closing'. We left but as there were heaps of cars in drive-thru, we thought we'd give that a go and waited in line for 10mins, the right lane was moving faster than us in the left lane, so we got to the speaker when a voice said 'no more orders, were closed'. There was 1 other car and us. I understand every store has closing times, and we were visiting the area, cold and wanting a cup of coffee, but surely these stores could extend there hours when a big function is on in their town. We went to the Club first for a coffee, but they shut 10mins earlier, so missed out there, and couldn't see anything else opened at 10pm. I'm sure under normal circumstances this Maccas would be good. Because of our experience, that's why I give only 2 stars and the staff member could have given better customer service that...
