Overall mixed experience.
Tempted by the pleasant decor and appealing menu, my partner and I sat down and ordered a meal + drink each.
The drinks (x2 ice coffees) arrived promptly and were delicious. Our food order took longer to arrive.
30 minutes after ordering, we asked a young waiter if it was coming. He was apologetic and told us our order would arrive soon.
My order (Mediterranean Bowl) arrived soon after, however the waiter seemingly confused my partners dish with another table's order.
Just as I was about to dig in the waiter returned, sheepishly telling me that my meal was intended for another table and quickly collected the dish.
We waited a further 20 minutes until finally our dishes arrived.
My Mediterranean Bowl was fantastic, and my partner's Vege Farmhouse Quesadilla was also really nice.
I understand that food and drinks can take longer during busy periods, however the store wasn't particularly busy and we were left waiting for nearly an hour for a simple order.

Our experience was quite mixed.
We visited mid week arriving around 1.20pm. The cafe is lovely - plenty of seating indoors and out - was about 80% full.
Menus were scarce but easy to order. Beverages arrived within 10min - banana cinnamon smoothy was delicious.
Unfortunately it took 50min from ordering for the food to arrive. Food was wholesome and delicious (esp the driftwood bowl) - made with love. But the 50min wait was poor - and not down to the chef who prepared the food and did the serving.
There was a cashier/waitress. And another person who sat with her dogs at the largest table, and held a range of phone calls until 2pm, whereupon she commenced clearing tables (tho left her dogs occupying the large table preventing other customers using it).
If the service guys could team work with the chef, then the service would lift and my rating improve. Unfortunately today, service let the chef down.
Hopefully our experience is...
Read moreOn a desperate search for coffee after an early surf I found Janet who was having coffee with friends out the front of her shop on her morning off. Once she found out that next door’s barista had gone home sick and there was no other coffee venues open she Had jo hesitation in making me some seriously delicious coffees with such generous spirit that I thought I had to recommend her and her lovely cafe to all and any who are in or near Scott’s Head. Not just a cafe it’s a beautifully and thoughtfully set up space with a nice assortment of travel cups and other coffee paraphernalia as well as a sustainable motif that would appear to underpin the love and generosity of spirit that Janet brings to runs her business. We will definitely be detouring off the highway on our way back up for another coffee and a catch-up (and hopefully a nice wave off the point into...
