There was a group of 8 of us who came to Jimmie’s to celebrate a 50th birthday. Several in our group had been many times before and only had amazing food and service in the past. Sadly, this was so far from our experience.

The restaurant was largely empty yet service was incredibly slow. To take drink orders, to take food orders, to bring food and drinks out.

Orders were incorrect, starting with the wrong wine being brought out, to a ludicrous number of serves of garlic and herb breads that just kept appearing (in what was almost a comical fashion… if it had just been that it would have been comical, but sadly it just got worse from there.) 8 serves of bread arrived when we had only ordered 5, with our waitress telling us that there was even more on its way until we told them to just stop!

Of the 8 main meals, 1 was enjoyable, 2 were adequate at best, and the rest were inedible. The carbonara was just weird and unpleasant, the ragu was not ragu at all but chewy chunks of chuck steak.

And the final insult was when one of the pizzas (a ham and pineapple with some additions) was completely forgotten, came out 20 minutes later and was not only undercooked but had no pineapple (yet weirdly, mushroom - that was not requested). The cherry on top of this vortex of ineptitude was the waitress bringing out a bowl of pineapple chunks that appeared to have been warmed up in the microwave!!! (Yes, you read that correctly.)

Our request to speak to the chefs was denied and the shift supervisor came to see us. To her credit she did her best but there was no way to recover from this.

It was so incredibly disappointing to see that a place that had always been so good in the past, had dropped to such terribly low standards.

If you do go, don’t bother ordering the carbonara - because even the waitress admitted she...

An Unforgettable Dining Experience at Jimmie’s Pizza Bar – Simply Exceptional!

If you’re in search of an unforgettable dining experience in Crafers West, Adelaide, look no further than Jimmie’s Pizza Bar. From the moment you step through the door, the ambiance welcomes you with its warm, inviting charm that sets the stage for a perfect meal.

The pizza at Jimmie’s is truly in a league of its own. Every bite busts in your mouth and you can feel the creamy creamy sauce in your throat with fresh, high-quality ingredients that come together in perfect harmony. The crust is golden and crispy, while the toppings are thoughtfully selected to create flavor combinations that are nothing short of exquisite. Whether you’re a fan of classic Margherita or craving something more adventurous, you’re in for a treat. The wood-fired pizzas are perfection on a plate!

But it’s not just the food that makes Jimmie’s so special – the service is absolutely top-notch. A special shout-out to Flossie Baker, the waitress who went above and beyond to make our experience unprofessional . Flossie’s professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail elevated the entire dining experience. She greeted us with a radiant smile, ensured we were comfortable throughout the meal, and provided spot-on recommendations that made our visit even more enjoyable. she is so incredibly beautiful and young looking, it’s hard to find young attractive women who want to work these days and It's rare to find such an exceptional combination of friendliness and expertise and Flossie truly made us feel like VIPs!

If you’re in the area, don’t miss the chance to visit Jimmie’s. You’ll leave not only with a satisfied stomach but also with extremely wet pants . Thank you, Jimmie’s, and a special thanks to Flossie for making this dining experience one we’ll...

I would love to give a special thanks to the staff, specifically Flossie Baker and Bonnie McLeay. The two made the experience meet beyond my expectations leaving me wanting more😉 Bonnie’s attentiveness and genuine friendliness were unmatched. Her cheerful attitude and professional demeanour created a positive and inviting atmosphere that made our dining experience so enjoyable. Flossie, on the other hand, had a wonderful sense of humour and a caring touch. She made sure we felt comfortable throughout our meal, constantly checking in at just the right moments. I booked Jimmies or a gathering to celebrate my husband’s 70th after reading the reviews. I have to say, the whole experience was very disappointing. When we arrived the table for 12 was not ready and my request on booking to be served family-style antipasto, pizzas and salad was met with confused faces. When we were finally served the antipasto the platters were a mish mash of strange things and certainly not what you expect from an Italian perspective…Hummus? Red capsicum dip? Ritz crackers? Slices of apple? Dried dates? Feta cheese? Only a smattering of Italian meats, horribly salty olives and morsels of flavourless mozzarella…. The pizzas were quite good thankfully but we ordered five large and received six (and billed). The rocket salad, whilst fresh, was undressed so we had to ask for that to be fixed. The restaurant had hardly anyone else there yet the service was terrible with long waits, so much so that we were clearing our own dishes! When it came time to pay the bill I went to the bar and was told the total and given a print out. I said I would need to look it over and went back to the table. There were several items included on the bill that had already been paid for as some of our guests were buying their own drinks. I queried these items and because I did that another bill was printed out quickly with all these items removed thus reducing the bill considerably. I was not impressed and wonder how many have over-paid. PLEASE CHECK YOUR BILL!!!! I am sorry, I will not be going to Jimmies again.

We went based on recommendations. Started with halloumi (very good), chicken popcorn (dry wouldn’t order again) and fries (the red pepper ones were nice). After that, we ordered three large pizzas: Pepperoni, Turkish Lamb and Moroccan Chicken. The Pepperoni was fine but the other two were alright but ended up as takeaway. Wine prices also felt on the higher side. On a beautiful sunny day, we were expecting a great lunch. Instead, service was shocking from the start. The staff clearly lacked training—we had to ask for basics like plates. Pizzas took forever to arrive which is a surprise and dishes meant for other tables kept being brought to us (and vice versa). Two starters even arrived after we were done eating out mains!!! The waitress offered to take them back, which we agreed to. The manager’s attitude made things worse. He came over unsure of what he was complaining about. He eventually lost track of his own argument before apologizing once we calmly explained the situation. Apparently he did us a big favor but agreeing to a La carte rather than the set menu. To top it off, when it came to paying, they hadn’t added the drinks and starters to the bill. We had to remind them to include it. Between the food quality, disorganized service and unprofessional management it’s hard to see this place keeping its clientele. Shame considering the great location. We certainly won’t be returning. (Btw they gave us one used pizza box for the take aways 🤦‍♂️).

A Consistent Winner of, S.A Best Pizza Restaurant in Adelaide. Located on the Main St, Crafers, Adelaide Hills, just before the Crafers Hotel. Jimmies would have to have one of the best seafood pizza’s that we have visited to review. On arrival you are seated in a warm comfortable dining area. The menu gives you a number of good dining alternatives. From at least a dozen Wood fired oven Pizza’s, a farm table option, to a children’s menu. Three of us chose the starters, from the menu, followed by their standout Seafood Pizza, topped with oysters in the shell, loaded with prawns. Their Pizza's would have to be the tastiest, most delightful, thin crusted, perfectly prepared, we have tasted, which keeps us frequently returning. We finished with home made ice cream loaded with nuts and topped with toffee, mouth watering. Can well understand this restaurant being awarded winner 2013 & 2015 & possible 2018, for best pizza restaurant. We appreciated the BYO option, there is a corkage fee, but that is quite understandable. Outside you will find a large private purpose built alfresco area, Well worth a return visit in the summer. The service could not be faulted, understandably this is a very busy popular restaurant in the Adelaide Hills. Reservations recommended.
