Read moreGreat little place where time stands still and you can enjoy the best of K.I. genuine hospitality. Great, friendly staff and tasty meals.
The Cafe has a good range of tasty meal options to eat in or takeaway. The indoor cafe tables are set up in an area where the north and west facing windows allow the sun to stream in on a wintery afternoon.
The staff don't mind nattering with 'meandering mainlanders'; provide generous tourism advice (where to go, what to see, how long it takes to get wherever you are going, which sites are worth seeing, best photo spots etc); and make a decent coffee. If you visit more than once, don't be surprised when they remember you. This is true country-style hospitality.

Tip for visiting mainlanders: Don't be in a rush, leave your haste at the door... you have now entered the zone of 'island-time'....

A great way to grab extra $$ on people travelling through. Pies were microwaved and stone cold in the middle. I will say the salad roll was fine. But over $70 for 2 pies, 2 salad rolls, 4 nugs and chips and 3 dim dims (my husband couldn't have until he was leaving) was a complete joke. We also needed some bread. And the wonder white that was on the shelf was past its best...
