Sumthin' Tastee — Restaurant in South Australia

You can stop looking for a place to eat in Whyalla...seriously..!! Great food, huge portions, awesome pricing...nice view...!!! No need to go anywhere else. Everything you need is right here at " Sumthin' Tastee". The seafood platter is almost too big to eat ( almost..!!)..piled high platter with a generous portion of the best Squid strips I may have eaten. Big filet of fish, scallops and grilled shrimp skewers. Nice salad to replace the fries. And the double bacon, double patty, double cheese burger was massive. No skimping on toppings. Nicely grilled patties, big stack of bacon between patties..cheese...and fries for 18.00...who does that. This burger was a 2 hander..! One of the best burgers I have eaten in Australia. I have paid 25- 28.00 for a much smaller single patty burger..and then they wanted an additional 7.00 for fries..!! Love this place, service was great, staff were friendly. Highly recommend. Just do your self a favor...

Had lots of meals here, the first time I came here I had squid with chips and salad. Since then I always ordered the squid when I came here. In my personal opinion they have the most amazing squid in town! Unlike other squid I had before, either too small or too dry. Their squid is soft, big and flavoursome! Last few times I tried something different: squid wrap with chips! 😂 It is still amazing and as usual big serves. But I forgot to take photos for the wrap. Today my friend and I shared a seafood platter with chips together, and I remembered to take photos for it! And then I had a lemon cake after. Their desserts are always amazing too.

We have nice view when we are eating outside next to the wetland. The staff is always friendly and enthusiastic. Sometimes the food can be a bit slow but worth the wait. Recommend this place, if you come, you must try...

Sublime food and service 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟/5 Friendly service and great food. The chips are phenomenonal as are the drinks. If you're not super hungry you could DEFINITELY get away with cutting and splitting a meal with a friend or partner or little one or pet! :)

Saw a lot of dogs, kids and sunshine so rather friendly and a nice place with a great menu with choice and variety for everyone

There's an undercover place for if you want to sit in the shade, not burn in the sun and hear your order called out (they call your name not a number so be ready to give a name!) There's an outside area if you want more sun and a different environment...
