Wheatsheaf Pub, Allendale North — Restaurant in South Australia

We had an excellent experience at this restaurant.

It was our first time there, and although there was a delay in getting our food, which we later found out was due to an issue in the kitchen, unprompted the owner came to our table and apologized for the delay. He let us know that he was removing the drinks bill from our total without us having to complain or ask for it.

When it was time to settle the bill, we tried to pay for the drinks anyway, but the owner refused any payment. We were all impressed with his excellent service and attitude, and the food was good...

The Wheatsheaf Pub is the quintessential country pub. Located just north of Kapunda, a short drive from Adelaide, we stopped in after a long day hiking. Great atmosphere and service, local beer on tap and incredible schnitzels with unique toppings. I had the Lazy Mignon! Special mention goes to the stubby holder to accompany your canned or bottle beverage. Keep doing what you're doing Wheaty. Well...

Great Aussie Country pub. Steeped in history . Cold beers on tap, and friendly bar staff with ample parking. Great selection of meals at competitive prices. Definitely a warm country atmosphere that greets you as you enter. City hotels could take a leaf out of this pub's book on customer service and value for money .
