The first time I came to this steak house I was surprised to be served hard mash potato that had been prepared the day before or hours before at best and reheated in a manner that wasn't reflective of the price of the meal. It is our second trip to Stanthorpe and thought we would try again. We shouldn't have the bruschetta bread was under cooked and soggy. Mentioning that a meal is not edible is not dealt with well. It should have been taken and recooked, but instead I was told they did toast it. When I again mentioned it at payment the lady brushed it off as nothing and still charged us. I won't be returning or recommending the Aussie Beef Steakhouse. In addition, the GF white bread was uncooked not toasted at all, which is about the way it was prepared not the style of bread. The wait staff, who was lovely said 'I know they toasted it. What do you want me to do?' at which point I declined having to tell your staff how to manage the situation and didn't eat the dish. Gf bread is not difficult to toast and in fact you can purchase GF Turkish bread which would be even nicer. Your response to my review reinforces the response I received from staff, disinterested in a customers experience unless it is good. When a kitchen is busy not everything comes out perfect and it would make sense to look after a customer and offer to have the problem resolved. I spoke to your staff respectfully, i would anticipate from your comments that any kind of negative feedback would be perceived as disrespectful, as you aren't equipped to receive it reasonably. I am dealing with facts your response is emotive and dismissive. You have said more about yourself and your opinion of customers with your reply. I won't have to say anymore you've said it all, like you've given yourself a 1 star rating for customer service on a self assessment where you've been intentionally...
Read moreThe table card declares proudly that the meat and other produce used in the restaurant is sourced locally. I think a far better policy would be to source the steaks according to the level of edibility regardless of their origins. I can honestly say that I’ve purchased far superior quality steaks from my local supermarket. My rib fillet was stringy and chewy and I struggled to even eat half of it. The buffalo wings were not described as spicy on the menu but were so hot that my wife couldn’t finish them either. I can’t comment on the cheesy garlic bread we ordered as it simply never arrived. Before we left I advised the waitress of my disappointment with the steak, at the urging of the message on the table card which said that the management would love the opportunity to address any issues before we departed. She told me that she would advise the chef of our observations and absolutely nothing more happened. We paid the bill and were bid...
Read moreThe food was excellent I had a TBone with pepper sauce and everyone in the party of 11 were more than satisfied. The service however left a lot to be desired. The staff were apathetic, lucky to get the first drink had to chase them for any additional drinks. They did manage to make drinks for themselves while we had our meals. When it came to working out the bill it took 4 of them to add it up and decided when 2 of them got the same result that it must be the right price. They turned away approximately 14 diners from about 7:15 who didn’t appear to have a booking even though there was plenty of room, the owners must be rich. We were gone before 8:15 as the service had ceased before 8:00 and they were now eating at the bar waiting for us to leave. Definitely not the place to come to if you want to spend time with others and celebrate an event. Strange antics for a...
