McDonald's Stanthorpe — Restaurant in Stanthorpe

This is a very busy shop, lots of backpackers and travellers passing through. This means that keeping quality of service and orders up to standard will require stable staff management. Unfortunately this doesn't happen here. On some days it's good but the staff mix balance has not yet been acheived so the orders are sometimes prepared exceptionally and other times terrible. Russian roulette at this outlet. Not being open on Christmas Day is a mistake for this situation. There's always a lot of backpacker tourists at the door with nowhere to go. Not everyone believes in Christmas so closing for the entire day is unfair to the people who don't want to worship satan claus and Jesus was born on Sept 11 so it's not the right day to remember for Christians either. Apart from that I've had my order delivered wrong several times due to extremely busy staff who haven't been trained well. This is because this restaurant seems to have a high staff turnover. Called in Stanthorpe MacDonalds yesterday at approx. 4pm. I wanted it to be a quick stop, so I ordered a small coke and junior burger, the girl at the cash register that it would be a seven-minute wait. I then said, just make it an apple pie (considering they are always ready). this blonde kid came back 2 MINUTES later and said. Oh that will be a seven-minute wait. What for an apple pie? This kids doesn't ask me if I want a refund or anything he just walks away. (it was obviously not his job to attend to CUSTOMERS). I was left standing there. I just walked out. The car park had 4 cars, the place wasn't packed at all. So I have now dubbed this Macca's 7 MINUTES. I am guessing management doesn't want waste. they expect CUSTOMERS to wait for the food to be cooked. So I have decided not to WASTE my time with this restaurant. This McDonalds used to be way better. Now there is always a big line in the drive through and not enough staff to take care of the orders. The service is also not good. We ordered coffees and the ones we got tasted like milk. When we went back in to politely complain the two staff members were so rude. They implied that we were trying to rip them off and said they could only replace one coffee because the other one had had too much drinker out of it. They embarrassed me in front of the other customers and just generally made me very uncomfortable. They were sending each other looks and all I really did was politely tell them the coffee tasted like milk and ask if they could make new ones.
