This was hands down the worst Asian food and experience we have ever had. Both meals were awful. The “Pad Thai” was not Pad Thai at all. There was almost no vegetables and no flavoring, they used flat noodles and literally 95% of the meal was just plain noodles. Honestly, 2 min noodles would have been nicer and I am not a fan of 2 min noodles. Sadly, the worst part of the experience was when I phoned to inform them of what had happened. And about the disaster of the other meal, A laksa that was again filled with noodles only this time, it was rice noodles and udon noodles mixed together. It was awful, and greasy. I havnt written a bad review for anyone but due to the experience with the owner, who literally spoke over me the entire time, placing the blame on me, and when I say this, literally yelled over me and didn’t even let me say a single word, she yelled in and on like a broken record not even taking a breath, it was absolutely disgraceful. How you could not even let the customer speak to hear what they had to say, and instead abuse them, is absolutely deplorable. I actually got so angry at how I was treated that two minutes after enduring her abuse, I actually tried to yell over her to say at least something, and literally this awful person continued to yell louder saying a million words an hour. She literally couldn’t care less about how she treats her customers, and therefore it’s no surprise that there was zero love in the food.

This is the only bad eating experience I’ve had in Buderim. There are some great Asian restaurants around. Be sure to go to Peppermint Crescent who were amazing and Ngyuyen brothers. Their food is first class and their service is amazing also, they actually respect and treat their customers with kindness. I would place money on it that the positive reviews on mountain king are from friends and family, it’s the worst experience I’ve ever had with Asian food, let alone a business owner. Treat your customers better Mountain King, you are truly a disgrace.

After going near weekly for 6 months spending always over $85 dollars a pop, disappointed when tonight we get home with our $104 order to find they forgot the lemon sauce for the chicken. Phone to advise and women rudely explains it was in micro I could just come back. Advised we were just about to eat so coming back wasn’t an option as cold food less wanted than dry chicken. She then stated well I’ll put a lemon sauce on ur next order. When questioned what use would another sauce be if I’m ordering lemon chicken it comes with sauce. She again rudely and with attitude explained well come and get it now or get a lemon sauce next time. No apology, no friendliness. Poor customer service for sure. I just took back most of a Combination Omelette. Worst omelette I have ever had. Not an egg in it ,full of a fatty/gelatin substance no prawns no pork no chicken. To add to my experience the chef on Tonight Tuesday accused me of eating all the egg !! Even though half the meal was still there. His comment was what do you want me to do?
