Patrick's Irish Steakhouse & Bar at Tranquil Park — Restaurant in Sunshine Coast Regional

Pretty average place. Meals were fairly expensive, and yet lacked quantity or quality. Had the chicken with eggplant and sweet potato, less than half a chicken breast, 3 or 4 little squares of eggplant and some potato puree. Ended up getting HJ just to fill me up. Wife had Guinness pie with mash, looked like a store bought pie with mash just slapped on the plate. Service was good, lovely staff, and the beers on tap were good, especially the local brewery items. Nice view if you are here before sundown, however on Saturday night with no view the place has no character or charm. 1 star each for the drinks and staff, but the premises and food and all around lack of quality means it isn't much better. Try to get into King Ludwigs down the road, where quantity and quality of food and atmosphere...

This is mine and my boyfriend’s favourite restaurant on the coast. We had our first date here and come here for every anniversary and most of our birthdays because it’s just so consistently good. We’ve been here at least 6 times in the last 2 years both together and with friends. The staff are always so lovely and attentive and the food is incredible every time. We always get the 120 day Rump Steak because it’s so good and is always cooked to perfection. It’s also the only place we have found on the coast to have a good Guinness on tap. Stayed at tranquil park Maleny for my bday for 1 night and it has this restaurant right behind reception. We arrived at restaurant an hr before closing(7:30pm closed thurs). I ordered the chicken schnitzel an my partner got the Thai green curry and both meals were delicious!! We had also ordered desert and since it was 10 mins to closing time, we has asked if possible before they make it up on plate if could put in container to take back to our room to which they happily said yes too an we had arrived at restaurant an hour before closing. Staff were polite!! Has nice views on the deck of restaurant over looking...
