Waterlilies — Restaurant in Sunshine Coast Regional

We had breakfast in the cafe portion of the resort. I can honestly say it may be the worst breakfast that I've ever had in my life. The breakfast is cooked by the service staff. The pancakes were made by a pancake machine and they were rubbery and under cooked and tasted like there was no raising agent at all. I asked the girls if they could make the machine hotter but they said it didn't go any hotter. The coffee was sour and took 20 minutes to arrive and the juice 25, even though there was only one other table in the restaurant. We ordered three kids pancakes, one omelette and a raisin toast. Food came out one item at a time and we didn't get the first item for 35 minutes and then it was 50 minutes before we got the last item. Once again they were only two tables in the restaurant. The 2 waitresses were very young and needed a lot of training. They had very poor customer service skills and one was quite sour

Had my Father-In-Laws 94th Birthday there. Was in constant contact with Julia, they allowed us to add more people a few times. Was a long weekend, so we had a buffet and even tho 94yo was a little worried Buffet may not have been his chosen menu, Julia arranged a Green Curry Prawn didsh for Birthday Man and we were all very grateful for the care and attention the staff took to make out night above and beyond perfect. We were permitted to decorate tables and the atmosphere was absolutely perfect. Everyone of our 31 strong attendee's thoroughly enjoyed the night/ service and atmosphere. A few cocktails were enjoyed by a few of the party too. Thank you all so much for making it a perfect celebration. The restaurant needs a Lunch menu offering two or three courses and include a drink. Lots of locals love to go out for lunch and the restaurants that have Lunch deals do quite well. Specials would also be welcome. My friends and I booked a table to celebrate a birthday and we were all very disappointed with the menu. The Dinner menu was also the Lunch menu and it was very limited. It was difficult to find something we liked and that was not too expensive. I have to say the wait staff were very pleasant but not very knowledgeable about the menu. The wine list was pretty good. The previous owners had a lovely lunch menu and also had special offers through “Catch”. Looking forward to hearing good reviews...
