Been a customer for over 20 years, mainly delivery. Tonight we dined in. Food has been better - ordered the American Ribs which was a mistake. Pre cooked, terribly dry (started mentally going through the Heimlich Manoeuvre whilst trying to swallow this chalky, granular meat) no flavour. Ate less than half of it. Told the lady owner and she agreed it was dry and offered to cook something else for us. We accepted, assuming it was complementary, only to discover it was added to the bill. Questioned this and she insisted we offered to pay for the meal when she suggested it. Total bald faced lie which I accused her of. Paid the full bill but told her I wasn't tipping. Only thing dryer than the ribs was her demeanour, which hasn’t softened over the years, just fermented and soured. Once a great Thai restaurant, but I recommend dining elsewhere and saving a few dollars, food at most Sydney Thai places is on a par with this place or better. Desserts are also pretty terrible, Banana Split was more a splat and Fried Ice Cream was crap (how do you get this wrong??) Tek was pleasant as always but the entire experience was ruined by the mercenary attitude of this lady, who I think is the co-owner and could be Tek’s wife. Either way, don’t ‘Buddha’ with this place, try...

Updated review: A big big thanks to TD and her team for organising a beautiful banquet for my family celebration dinner event!

TD helped me organise the banquet menu to be very friendly for vegans, vegetarians and other dietary requirements, and she was super lovely, friendly and attentive throughout the whole event.

Amazing banquet selection, and can’t wait to come back and dine again! ——

Been here 3 times already, and Buddha Raksa always deliver. Great quality food, even greater quality service!

We’ve had a few entrees (money bags and satay skewers), and would recommend both if you are a fan of the slightly sweeter side of peanut satay sauce. The money bag filling is creamy, with some peanut filling as well as other ingredients. Satay chicken is juicy! Unlike most other places where you know they rushed the heating up from its frozen state.

Massaman curry hits the spot every time. Lovely amount of flavour and spice, not overpowering with the coconut cream base, to keep the main massaman curry flavour coming through. Slow cooked beef chunks that are tender and juicy.

Xenia moscato is lovely as well!

Fried icecream is a thick breadcrumb exterior with vanilla icecream ball...

Absolutely a 5/5 experience. What a fantastic dinner!

We decided to come in for an evening meal, and we really made a great decision coming in here!

From the jump, the restaurant ambience was simply delightful. The dining area was very clean, organized and warm. The service was exceptionally friendly, attentive, and fast.

We ordered numerous dishes, from the Tasty Beef to the Tom Yum Goong soup, every single one was a hit. We absolutely loved every dish, and not to mention they were served quickly from our order. Every dish was hot, warm and delicious. We absolutely loved how fresh each dish tasted, the Pad Thai tasted like none other we've had recently, the noodles were crispy, the chicken was tender, even the lime garnish was fresh and juicy!

We absolutely loved our dining experience this evening and we look forward to coming back to enjoy the rest of the menu. A staple of Thai cuisine...

The. Best. Thai. In. Sydney. Hands down. My family and I have been coming to Buddha Raksa for nearly 20 years. The food is amazing. The service is spectacular. Whenever I eat Thai food anywhere else I always compare it to Buddha Raksa. And I am always convinced that Buddha Raksa is the best. This restaurant is a staple of the area and I guarantee you that anyone who lives around here knows it. I think what really adds to the experience is the genuineness of the owners. They are so kind and good natured and whenever we visit they always ask how things are going. They truly are amazing people. The flavours of the food are always so nice and complement each other perfectly. There’s such a variety of food to choose from on the menu and they do it so incredibly well. You really really can’t go wrong with this restaurant.
