I really wanted to like this place and made a special trip out to try it, but nothing about the experience stacked up. The service was just fine, but the baked goods let us down. We were on a mission for the kare pan/curry bun. They were cold, and the filling just wasn’t curry or Morrish enough, the crusts wasn’t chewy soft and was still quite greasy. Not what you want from a great curry bum experience if you’re missing them from japan. It wasn’t even redeemed after heating one up. We also got the sausage bun, which the bread tasted old and dry and the sausage used just wasn’t tasty. The last item we ordered was just the curry pie- this was pretty tasty and I’d...

Such a lovely experience! I drove an hour to visit and had placed an order in advance. When I arrived, there was a mix-up with my order, but the owner was incredibly apologetic and kind. She went above and beyond to make things right and even offered me a great alternative to the item I originally wanted. The staff were all so friendly and accommodating — truly some of the loveliest people I've encountered. Definitely...

We tried the matcha scroll cake, steamed pork bun, steamed red bean bun, daifuku, matcha manju, the pork cutlet bun and the twisted donuts. Everything was delicious and fresh and the staff were lovely. Worth the drive and it's good to support a family owned bakery. Will definitely be back to try the goodies that were sold out...

It looks unassuming on the outside but the counter is filled with sweet and savoury bakery items that will delight the heart and bring you back to Japan. The warm pork buns are a popular after school treat and the mochi readily sell out too. Reasonable priced too to keep coming back!
