I got a cheeseburger off the app "shake and win" feature and got the worst burger I've ever had at a fast food restaurant. It was swimming in tomato sauce. Completely cold and gross.
I was with my Mum at the time and I wasn't going to say anything as I was turned off food altogether at the time but I thought I should at least politely let them know so that they don't get told off by other customers.
I could hear very clearly the server go out the back and tell the manager. I could then hear the manager loudly exclaim "but he ate it all, didn't he?" I ordered 2 cheeseburgers and was really hungry so pushed through most of the first one but had no intention of eating the second. I actually put it in the trash in front of the server (politely).
I then told the staff behind the scenes who were talking about me, in front of me: "I can hear what you're saying behind there and no I did not finish the meal". No answer so I just left. I did not in any way berrate or taunt the staff (I also work in hospitality) I was nothing but chill about it. Just a heads up that customers can hear you speaking about them when you're 8 feet away, even if you're behind machines. They weren't overly nasty but it was still a bad experience and I should not have been made to feel bad for a mistake on their part when I acted in a proper manner.
I'm sure it was probably just a one off but this has been my only experience of that store. I always prefer Hungry Jack's because I genuinely believe the burgers ARE far better but...

Both were ordered through the app. when we arrived about 20 minutes after ordering we found our food was not ready for pick up, initially i was annoyed due to my impression of the app being that they track your location so your food can be picked up as soon as you get there. However, the staff were extremely kind and attentive which improved my overall experience. They managed to get our food ready at a reasonable pace after we arrived. At which time a two large families had just walked in to order (around 15 - 20 people). I will give them credit for their management of orders and prep speed as there were only about 4 employees plus the manager staffed that night (it was a Saturday which would assume would necessitate more staff than other shifts due to the popularity of fast food on weekends and Fridays). My family and I stopped on there on Sunday, we went and ordered via the screens. Once ordered we went to sit down, although the place was quiet, the seats, floor and tables were filthy. Upon receiving our food we were not provided the correct drinks or condiments. Upon asking we were told they were out of the sauces, no offer was made for I different selection, even though we paid extra, they were simply not provided, upon asking we were able to be provided an alternative, much to the store personals displeasure. The drink was much the same. After being in the customer seating area and seeing how it was maintained I can only imagine the kitchen and back store room. This is enough to turn me from going back to a hungry jacks. I hope management take the time to read this and apply measures to improve the service offering.
