We visited L'Americano with my husband yesterday while exploring the Coco Republic store. Initially, our plan was merely to grab a coffee, but we were so captivated by the sophisticated European-inspired decor and the elegant atmosphere that we decided to stay for lunch. I’m delighted we did. The coffee was exceptional, the food was delightful, and the service was both warm and professional.
Reflecting on the business setup, I was struck by the sheer ingenuity of the model. L'Americano and Coco Republic, clearly under the same ownership, exemplify a brilliant synergy. Shoppers, potentially weary from furniture browsing, can retreat to the café for a refreshing break. Once rejuvenated and satisfied, they return to their shopping with renewed clarity and appetite. The café’s furniture, all from Coco Republic’s collection, not only showcases the products but also provides a practical test run for customers. We own Coco Republic’s Cara dining chair and Cara bar stool and can attest to their visual appeal and comfort.
This harmonious integration of hospitality and retail is nothing short of genius, reflecting excellence in both service and ambiance. We are so glad this gem is just down the road from us and will definitely be our go-to spot for...
Read moreI’ve tried this place a few times as it’s so easy to pop in after shopping at Woolworths. It’s very sterile feeling and the guy who seems to be the manager always seems annoyed and it feels like the staff have been told they’re not allowed to talk or something! Roseberry St Cafe is so much better and my go to, but the convenience of this place after shopping is great. Today was my last visit though as they are just far too slow, I gave them the benefit of the doubt when they first opened but this morning I waited 30min for a coffee! 20min of which I was the only person standing there.
It did seem like there were a lot of people eating in so it’s not like I was the only customer but they weren’t any busier than any other coffee shop I go to where it takes 10min. It will actually be faster to walk up to Roseberry St Cafe and back to my car at Woolies or drive up and park, where they will actually be busier, make a better coffee and do it faster.
Maybe I’ll try again in six months to see if things...

The L'Americano cafe and my favourite furniture shop Coco Republic makes the perfect symbiotic match. Both places are simply elegant!!
The first thing that you notice is a change from the traditional boring cafe scattered on the peninsula, this place has real class.
The staff, atmosphere and well priced food make it an ideal place for breakfast and lunch...in some cases they merge together because the ambience just keeps you there...you can always walk a few metres into the amazing furniture store if you need a break from your caffeine addiction and then get back to that second cup :-) !
This cafe is well worth a visit. One of my favourite on the Northern Beaches..
Also congratulations to a brilliant management team- a great group !
