Pioneer Tavern — Restaurant in Sydney

We went there for lunch on Tuesday. There were barely two tables where people were eating, and we went to place an order at the counter. The staff sent us back to the table and asked us to scan an app on the table and place it online. When we were placing the order, she came up with two drinks, which we did not order. When I went up to her to tell her about the drinks, she replied with frustration "What is the problem?". It took her a while to acknowledge that she served someone else's drinks to us, and we haven't placed any orders. She took it back eventually, and after that, we placed our order online. After waiting for 20 minutes, the lunch was served, but no one brought us the drink. I asked the staff, and she said she only looks after food and would check. Then she went to the counter. We almost finished our half-lunch, then I went to the counter to check the drinks. There, I saw the server was taking orders for the people who just came in. After that, he just filled one jug of Sprite with some lemon and went to keep it at our table. I came back and then told the wait staff who served the food that it did not look like the drink we ordered. She agreed and took the drink with her, and after a couple of minutes, she came with the drinks we ordered. I just wondered how hard it was for them to take the orders on the counter, plus, how come there is this much delay and order confusion on a Tuesday afternoon where there is less than 10% of a crowd compared to a weekend evening? Myself, my wife and a friend came for dinner last night and although the food was good, I had no idea what I was ordering because of the ridiculous new menu. Who thought it would be a good idea to offer 15 or so different schnitzel toppers and give no description of what any of them are. Fortunately the 2 bistro ladies on were very lovely and helpful and explained the menu to me and what everything meant. I decided on a schnitzel as the sign stated Thursday night any schnitzel and any topper for $15. Now when I looked at the menu to decipher what "any schnitzel" meant, I could only assume that it meant the size as there is clearly only 1 type of schnitzel on offer but in different sizes and I figured that the "any schnitzel" was not referring to the topper as that is then specified after as "add any topper". I obviously knew that this was not the case but please note that this is actually false advertising if I wanted to fight the issue and demand my 'Huge" schnitzel. Lastly my wife ordered a steak with baked potato and coleslaw. She got a beautiful steak with not a baked potato but little oily bits of potato that certainly were not baked and the coleslaw was not pleasant. I went to the pioneer tavern in hopes of having a nice meal with my friends and colleagues when i was verbally abused and denied entry. I had recently turned 18, and in celebration we decided to go to the tavern on a thursday night, the toppers night a few weeks ago. When we arrived we lined up to order when it was my turn the woman behind the counter demanded my identification, I obliged, handing it to her to confirm my age. she threw it back at me and demanded I leave claiming I was underage, I politely told her sorry but i turned 18 last month when she yelled louder so myself one of my friends left the front entrance and went to the side entrance, or better known as the smoking area. we took a seat and waited for everyone else to join us. as everyone begun to arrive the woman ran out and began to scream and shout demanding i leave the premises once again, I once again told her i’m 18 and legally allowed on the premises. she continues to push and shove me, as I begin to leave, I kindly said please don’t touch me and she just ignored me. the woman proceeded to follow me out of the premises threading to ban me if I returned. In short, I am very disappointed with the abuse I recieved and I will not be returning. Horrible experience and I pray that this does not happen to...
