We recently celebrated my son’s 18th at Respite, and the entire experience was fantastic from start to finish. From the moment I first reached out, Simon was incredibly helpful and reassuring, answering all my questions and making sure every detail would be taken care of.

The venue itself was the perfect space for a private function. Excellent range of food and drinks on offer – everything was fresh, delicious, and generously portioned. Guests were constantly complimenting the atmosphere, service and the quality of the food and drinks.

A huge shoutout to the team on the night – they were all friendly, professional, and completely on the ball, making sure everything ran smoothly. It really felt like they cared about making the night special for us. Thank you so much, Simon, Lewis, and the team at The Respite Bar – you helped make my son’s 18th a truly memorable celebration.

We decided to head out for a relaxed girls’ night and were drawn in by the fabulous atmosphere. The food selection was tasty, and the cocktails were absolutely delicious. However, the service left much to be desired. No table water was offered, and we had to ask multiple times for a missing food item. While the cocktails were great, staff missed opportunities to upsell more drinks due to inattentiveness. Good food but a small venue. We got Olives, focaccia, burrata and the salumi plate to start.

We also had the bao bun platter which was very nice.

The truffle parmesan fries didn't have a strong truffle taste. It wasn't bad.

The apple surprise was quite good. The flavour combination was good and wasn't too sweet. The serving size was good.

We appreciated the non alcoholic decaf affogatto being catered too.

The Angus sirloin steak was cooked well.
