Great place, great staff, great view over golf course and the mountains, well worth attending the Scottish weekend, many local and not so long local pipe bands attend, accommodation at the local caravan Park, and nearby houses can be rented, club within walking distance of the whole town of Talbingo. The new Chinese chef does a tasty meal, don't be afraid to ask ,no sugar, no msg, easy on the salt when ordering a meal, as all meals for Australians have msg, sugar and salt added, something to do with our taste buds. Chef is most obliging to alter meals to your taste. Bar does a mid range beer on tap. Talbingo itself is a beautiful village over looking the dam, it is peaceful as most people walk, however it gets busy during weekend's in summer and school holidays, the village residents are friendly and welcoming. The village also has a great golf course backing on to the mountains, and is a good place to walk your dog watch out for...

The food was very ordinary and the fried rice was inedible with just too much salt. Never again. Does not...

The restaurant seating area was cold and lacked atmosphere, but the bar area was beautifully warm, so we ate in there. The food was ok and reasonably priced. Its really the only place in Talbingo to get a feed for dinner, our understanding was other places have closed due to covid, so we appreciated that this option is there, otherwise it’s a 25min drive to tumut which isn’t ideal when you have 3 tired children. We love to support these small country towns who are struggling during covid and if the staff are friendly and show they appreciate your business we will always return and that’s exactly what...
