food was ok ,but the owners need to open there eyes .Staff with tea towels over there shoulders,(so go wipe a plate or cup with that tea towel ,i dont want your hair in my lunch ,then you just pushed the calf off the verandah ,to return several times ,did you wash your hands ,did you use the tea towl ,i watched and seen you with the calf and then putting the tea towel back on your shoulder ,do you get it ?) ,kitchen staff removing buffalo calves off the verandah where people are eating ,a dog sitting at the table amongst dining guests ,there should b a totally seperate area for people who want to bring there dogs .,kitchen staff coming out patting the dog ,yeah right ,then you went back to the kitchen to toss pizza dough. Yes you employ locals ,great ,but train them please .The entire area needs a good hose down ,there are no excuses ,look around ,fence an area for people to visit the animals ,get your act together ,your prices are not cheep for what you get .The other comment i have is the f..k words coming from the kitchen ,and then someone said ,thats right tell everyone out on the verandah ,my visit was 30th July .Will i go again no ,will I tell others of my...
Read moreBeen to the Buffalo Farm today. Well, none of my expectations fulfilled. Place in general, paddocks in particular grossly neglected. One animal behind a fence, with no green to eat (except loads of fire weed). Poor thing is kept there together a lonely calf for guests to take picture with. 5 or 6 Buffalo on the horizon. Also pretty barren land. The dams are gated of, so these water Buffalo can realy lay in water as they are accustomed to by nature. Pizza with garlic and mozzarella was delightful. Buffalo burger wad horrible and over cooked. Only caned drinks, nothing fresh. Price very comfortable, except for fresh meat 3 times the price of beef or lamb at my loyal butcher. One needs to book a table. Coming back? I dont think so, unless I get rumours of substantial improvements to make it a worthwhile experience. Sorry foax at the farm...this is only constructive criticism. Try harder..you got the potential and uniqueness. The service by the way was...
Read moreMy wife and I were told about this place last week, the person telling us almost raving about how amazing the feta was and how delicious the food is. We almost reluctantly agreed to head out there with him for dinner tonight.
We started with the Persian feta, which is so creamy and perfectly salted, and a garlic pizza, which has the most incredible home made base and mozzarella. Fantastic.
Then for mains we had 3 different meals off the specials board and another pizza. We are all family so there wasn't any problems with tasting each others meals. Every dish on the table was incredible. Normally I would expect maybe 1 stand out meal but 4 out of 4 surprised me, all different styles and all amazing.
We followed up with the buffalo gelato, a fantastic way to end the meal.
The owners are super friendly and the service was top notch. Couldn't have been happier with our night out. Well worth the short drive off the highway, we can't...
