I would like to first let you know I booked here for mothers day after some research of cafes and eateries in the Tambourine mountain area, I saw your menu via a link on google, willowandsagecafebar.com.au, menu was several pages long and included pizza, pasta, salads, burgers, mains snacks and drinks. However we discovered a very very reduced mothers day menu consisting of mostly burgers and a couple of mains.
There was nothing appealing on the menu to any of our table of 10, it was not something we thought was anything special or nice for a special day. Very limited options for vegetarian and vegan.
The service was just dreadful, no greeting, no menu given, no instructions on the fact you had to line up to order. The wait was appalling and it was very obvious that this was an incredibly poorly organized day.
The staff looked very young, very inexperienced and some totally lost, no one seemed to be in charge and it was chaos. Some drinks were unavailable, beer warm and only just put in the fridge. A pot of tea half full that didnt even fill the cup provided, soggy chicken parmi, burnt calamari rings, chicken burgers that were just a big chicken nugget, the list goes on.
The amount of times we had to tell various wait staff that no we didn't order that we are table 11, was ridiculous. We are not blaming any of these young staff trying to do there best and completely lost in a cafe turned circus, we are baffled as to why there was none overseeing the day or directing service.
There was nothing to make any of us want to come back at all. A larger more inclusive menu , better kitchen organization, a more efficient and accurate ordering process is...
Read moreMy partner and I and got coffee this afternoon and the coffee tasted bitter, went back later to get pizza for dinner and they told us 20 minutes we ended up waiting an hour because they forgot one of our pizzas then the lady owner was disgustingly rude to my partner because we were trying to ask how long our pizzas would be and if the pizzas under the heater were ours or not as we were just standing there waiting. To be told that the reason “Gabby” spoke to my partner this way was because “It’s my first “pandemic” and to not take it personally” is a joke and a cop out. No matter what is going on and how busy you are, you don’t speak to anybody that way, especially in the service/hospitality industry. We also had to ask the young man behind the counter if he was actually going to check if our order was ready after just standing there wondering what was going on. We had heard nothing but raving reviews from the owner of the getaway we are staying at and was going to eat there again tomorrow lunch time for the famous “Mountain Burger”, but no thank you! FIRST IMPRESSIONS LAST, and this impression was SOUR! A large pizza is the same size as a dominos pizza and next to no toppings or flavour and the dough is chewy! Horrible owner, horrible service, definitely not...
Read moreJust went here earlier today with my family and quite frankly this was one of the worst cafes I have been to yet and the reviews and star ratings are quite misleading. For what you are paying for size, quality and taste wise, the price is to high for what it really is. The eggs benny was the smallest serving i’ve had and probably the most i’ve ever payed. added salmon and for the price, id expect much more than what I got, and it was served on a small english breakfast muffin. $25 for something id usually pay $22 for and at least double the size is quite poor. The ice chocolate was just watered down milo and had about 5 sips worth, the glass was full of chunky ice that took up all the room of the beverage, and for $8 you don’t even get icecream or whipped cream. We also had to ask for our drink because they forgot it. The sourdough “toast” wasn’t toast at all, it was, in reality; warm bread. We found the service was quite poor and didn’t find the staff ‘friendly’ like we had read in the reviews. quite a...
