Tarlee Bakery — Restaurant in Tarlee

Today we were wanting to have a sausage roll and buy a loaf of bakery bread. Not tried this bakery before. I'm a bit disappointed. The sausage roll, great texture, the pasty had just the right amount of Flake, golden colour and just the rich amount of grease in the pastry..... but it was soooo salty! To the point that I was thinking maybe the baker put in the salt but forgot and put it in again? Mr. had a pie, and that was really salty as well... so jury is kinda out. No bread to be had, and when I asked, the person that served said..no. I'm not sure if they do it week days or not. The bakery itself was clean, and there were people...

I have always found this bakery to be great with lovely goods and staff. However this morning my daughter and I were treated very rudely when we asked to have a cake cut in half. We were told I’ll put a knife in the bag when we requested to have it cut it here please we were told abruptly I’ll put a knife in the bag. After I cut the cake and asked if she could bin the knife she pointed to a bin at the other end of the counter. Not a good way to get customers to return. I hope the staff members day improved. I am still shocked at the response when I asked for a glass of tap water with my black coffee. A very rude women aggressively informed me because they are not a Hotel they do not have to and wont provide me with tap water. If I wanted water I had to buy it. That I would cost them resources if she provided me with water. No courtesy here!
