I recently visited Beauty Point Hotel and unfortunately had a disappointing dining experience. While the atmosphere was inviting, and the staff were friendly, the food quality did not live up to expectations. We arrived 30 minutes before the kitchen closed and ordered promptly, yet the meal was lacking.

I had steak, ordered medium-rare, which was not marinated and lacked flavor. The texture was tough, and it did not offer the tender, juicy quality one would expect from a high-quality cut of meat. The mushroom sauce was underwhelming and didn’t complement the steak as it should have. The dumplings, meant to be a comforting side, were fried in oil that had a rancid smell, which ruined their flavor and left a lingering aftertaste.

What surprised me the most was the frozen vegetables served with the steak. In my experience, fresh vegetables are a standard accompaniment in such settings, so receiving frozen ones was unexpected and disappointing. However, I did appreciate the zucchini, which tasted fresh and was a pleasant contrast to the rest of the dish.

Though the atmosphere and service were pleasant, the overall food experience was far below par. I did love the hotel room, though— it had a nice environment that made for a...

Food was absolutely amazing, well done to the chef and kitchen team, atmosphere was OK, rooms pretty standard but clean, well done to cleaning crew! One staff member really needs to learn how to treat guests properly and the other staff.. I was absolutely disgusted by this ladys attitude!!! We were being served by her... Mid conversation she turns to another staff member having a go about another staff member who wasn't where she was supposed to be... within one second the staff member had come around the corner, the lady who was serving us ...again mid sentence..mid transaction, turned around and had a go at this young girl in front of customers and other staff members, this is absolutely disgusting and you should be ashamed of yourself and the way you treat your staff, you're then arrogant mood ruined our good mood your vibes were not the best you were not very polite, we will never be returning to your hotel for this very reason. Very unprofessional. Take your staff aside, AFTER you've served your customer...no need to publicly humiliate them. ...

I've dined here on and off a lot over the years but today's experience was underwhelming. As seen in another review, our beer battered fish was very minute; 2 small pieces not much bigger than a fish finger. The serving of salad and chips was very small for the $19 I paid. Other meals at our table were not good value for money either. Aside from that the place was clean and the staff were pleasant despite our waitress telling us she had completely different meals to what she was actually handing out, confusing everyone! The drink selection was reasonable and I note the decor has been slightly upgraded. There's a nice view of the marina to enjoy while you have your meal but a few sections of the venue were closed off, possibly due to past COVID protocols. Based on today's experience I'm giving 2 stars. Hopefully they will improve on this because around 20 years ago I had one of my most memorable...

2 of us had lunch at this pub overlooking the water. Seating for maybe 60+ with more tables out on the deck. Order and pay at counter. Menu was fairly extensive, prices seemed reasonable. Staff pleasant and our meals arrived fairly quickly. We ordered two meals from the specials menu, $18.50 EA. Roast lamb with veg, + Szechuan Calamari with salad + chips. Both meals were great. Only negative, tea or coffee is DIY from a machine in the cafe @ $2 per cup. We chose to go elsewhere for dessert and coffee. Plenty of parking and onsite restrooms.

We popped in for lunch, they were very busy. We didn't have time to wait but they were so polite we made a booking for dinner. Glad we did! Excellent Friendly service and very good food Fast. We felt happy sitting there with Marvellous views and CC on tap and staff taking the time to be friendly even tho they were again, Very busy! We weren't pushed or rushed and I think Heather and Caitlin should be Highly Commended ... Thanks. We will definitely be back!
