Brewstone Pizzeria & Cafe — Restaurant in Tasmania

Came here for dinner tonight and it was VERY disappointing. We put through a phone order for 3 people, only after arriving to pick up the food were we informed that the 3 scallops couldn’t be done and nothing was offered in replacement. When we arrived home to eat the food we saw that not only were we missing another item, we had also been given sweet potato chips with our fish instead of regular potato chips. Phoned to inform them of their mistake and were told that because of the potato shortage they could only do sweet potato chips. That’s understandable but it would’ve been nice to know when we put our order through because we definitely would’ve found somewhere else to eat. After removing all of the food from the bag we also found a dirty hair tie. We then decided to head in there and asked nicely to speak to the manager and got nothing but the missing dim sim. After getting home we decided we still weren’t happy with the outcome and phoned to ask for a refund to which we were offered a partial refund. Happy with that we proceeded to go and pick up the refund. Once arrived we were lied to and told that no one there uses hair ties (all females working had their hair tied up) and they also don’t give out bags (our three meals were given to us in a brown paper bag) I’m not usually one to leave reviews but I’m very disappointed with the service.. the food was...

I'm not a fan of being shouted at, particularly when it was not my fault that an order was messed up, I understand human error, things happen. But here, I was rudely shouted at by some hipster wannabe in a fedora because I wanted my order corrected and I was accused of holding everyone else up by doing so. The fact that my evening was held up and my kids were delayed in being fed wasn't an issue apparently, just the scores of non existent people "waiting". When I asked fedora man to stop shouting at me, he continued to yell at me and claim to not be yelling! This is not the first time we have had an order issue here, but we will never go back after the way I was spoken to, my husband could hear this guy shouting at me from outside in the car! Shearwater food Co will be our go to every time, their prices are much better, staff friendlier and food...

Long wait but delicious food.

We took a takeaway veg pizza one night and my husband loved it. Super rich and well made.

Another morning we took some bacon & egg rolls as takeaway, which I don’t thibk they normally do but she obliged me. They were tasty too.

The only complaint is that both times there took ages for takeaway. The pizza was quoted 20 minutes and was about 45 min. The 2 brekkie rolls took over 30 minutes too. Even just saying its going to take a while would have been helpful so I could have just come back.

We are here over summer holidays and obviously covid is happening so maybe the combo has added to the lengthy wait.
