If a view of Bass Strait is what you like when having your coffee then I would recommend Bruce's. I drop in to Wynyard to run the Parkrun and came to Bruce's for breakfast afterwards. Its slightly out of town but by the number of people there when I was there no nobody seems to mind the drive or ride. This is well worth a visit if your in north west Tassie. Come of the highway for a break and do Bruce's.

Waited a long time to get to Bruce's Cafe. Saw it on a lifestyle show, jotted down the details for the time I would get here- and thrilled to finally arrive! Awesome food, staff and great recommendations for lunch. The chai was delicious and I will definitely get a take away as well. Wish I was staying longer!

Very pleased with these guys, I am in WA Perth and ordered some pretty peonies for my mum and I asked the owner if I could purchase over the ph. A+ for comunication and service. She was very embarrassed but she was very happy too .. made my mum very happy

My ze/zey affiliate went in at 2:30 for a quick bite to eat, figured it was okay given they were closed at 3pm To my surprise I think the manager or someone of that authority was looking at us through the glass windows. I felt victimized and my anxiety was building. I nervously asked if it was still okay to eat and he shut me down and said the kitchen is already closed. I felt so offended in the tone he used. I asked if the cakes in the display box were vegan which he proudly said no. I couldn't believe it. My affiliate was almost in tears when we walked back to our car. I won't ever be coming back here again. Get your time schedule right and have a sense of human emotion other people who don't have white male privileges

We popped in on Anzac Day, public holiday they were open, tick. They had a sign out, and pointed to it for the PH surcharge, tick. Happy to chat through the offerings, tick. 2 hot coffees, a huge plate of wedges, and a gluten free brownie were ordered, and delivered in quick time, tick We shared, they bought extra plates and cutlery, tick. Good service on a busy day, the food was hot and fresh, the coffee was good, the sea view across the road was the icing on the cake. And the GF brownie was awesome, we felt we deserved it after walking from the yacht club. All in all a good place to spend some time and money....

Not much to look at from the street, but who cares when the food and coffee is this good! Tried the lunch menu on our first visit, and wife and I came back the next morning for breakfast. Food, coffee and service was consistently great and fairly priced. Best coffee I've had on my trip around Tassie. Served strong and rich roasted/caramel flavours (personally not a fan fruity/floral coffee). Menu isn't massive, but still enough of a range to choose from. Have kept the menu tight, playing to their strengths, service is good and unfussed, would happily eat here any day. For a regional cafe it's punching well...
