Dover Top Shop — Restaurant in Tasmania

I went in for some lunch on my journey into Dover with no preconceived idea other than it was a take away and cafe. My initial impression was one of a less than notable decor. There was a Bain Marie with the usual deep fried food that you would expect from your average take away. I decided to look for a healthy alternative and indeed there was a display refrigerator with frittata and the like inside. I selected the frittata and also a piece of eggs beneddict pizza. The frittata was delicious and the pizza was a total surprise as it was like nothing else that I'd ever had in a pizza. It was loaded with toppings and absolutely delicious. The staff were very friendly , the only negative comment was that behind the counter could have been somewhat less messy and the bin emptied. All up I would go back again. I gave it two stars for the effort with the decor. Lots of nostalgic prints, bits and pieces, and old style kitchen furniture. However the food we had wasn't worth a mention (but I will). I went with two friends. Usual entry requirements ie Tascheck. There is a ramp entry so good for strollers frames etc. A good no of tables - spaced appropriately and large windows let good light inside. Ordering from menu - good range - although our squid/flake and chips took a while they were crispy and hot when ready - as were our coffee/tea.
