Meander Store & LPO, Meander Bridge Cafe — Restaurant in Tasmania

AFTER CALLING IN THIS MORNING ON OUR WAY TO LAKE HUNTSMAN.I WAS GREATED BY A LOVELY FRIENDLY YOUNG LADY (I WISH I HAD GOT HER NAME TO PUT UP HERE) SHE WAS SO HELPFUL AND POLITE MY GRANDSON ORDERED A MEAT PIE WITH SAUCE AND A CAN OF COKE I ORDERED A BIG FARMERS BREAKFAST (TOAST,SCRAMBLED EGGS ,TOMATO,MUSHROOMS,HASH BROWN,BAKEBEANS) AND A LARGE CAPPUCCINO. TO MY ASTONISHMENT THIS WAS THE BEST MEAL IVE HAD FOR A VERY LONG TIME.AND I TRAVEL ALL OVER THE STATE .I RETURNED THE EMPTY PLATE AND CUP AND TOLD THIS LOVELY YOUNG LADY COULD SHE DO ME A FAVOUR AND THANK THE CHEF AND HER SERVICE WAS THE BEST IVE EVER COME ACROSS. TOLD THEM I WILL PROMOTE THEM FROM NOW ON AS I HAVE THE TASSIE PICKERS SHOP IN WESTBURY CUSTOMERS ALWAYS ASKING FOR RECOMMENDATIONS FOR SOMEWHERE NICE TO EAT .A BIG THANK YOU JUSTIN YOUD FROM TASSIE...

Members of our casual sports car group from Central North Tasmania visited on Wed, 10/02/2021. The staff were advised by phone that we would be arriviving for lunch and they went out of their way to provide round table seating for 10 people in the outside covered dining area. Meals were tasty, very well priced and administered by our delightful kiwi waitress who took our good natured jibes about her ethnic heritage with aplomb. Meander Store provides a great community service. They serve excellent coffee and cakes and a variety of take away foods as well as some basic groceries. In addition they sell petrol and house the local Post Office. It's an essential service! I highly recommend them to anyone passing through who needs a break and something to eat, or petrol of course.
