Such a great spot & atmosphere here, we just stopped in for a quick drink on our way back to wynyard from smithton, Haven't been there in years but for me it's special place, cos I was raised on a dairy farm just around the corner & remember it being built when I was 12yrs old, It makes me feel like I am home when I call in here, cos I don't live down this end anymore sadly, loved all the record & album covers on the roof & walls & the furnishings & seats were great too.

Not to bad toilets and showers ,but it's bore water so it smells like medal for power one night 2 people $15 also extra $5 per person for toilet key and$10 for witch you get back when you return the key. Confusing right. And all dogs must be on Leeds.

Only camped here overnight but great peaceful spot off the main road, $10 a night with bathroom access - really clean with great hot showers. Perfect for an overnight stop before heading to the Rocky Cape National Park for some excellent hikes

My husband and i headed off in our van with no.plans and were looking for somewhere to stay over night. We initially called in for a drink.and bite to eat. We enjoyed the atmosphere so ended up booking in to a powered site. I did read the reviews and seen several negative comments but mainly about the bore water. We as campers, always carry fresh water with us and have no.problem with it. The amenities are clean, showers have great pressure and they are free! There is a laundry and waste station for vans. I love the grounds and enjoyed our night there so much, that we are heading back NYE. I can see this park being our weekend 'thing to do". The Tavern is there for a game of 8ball, beer or a meal if you want. You are fairly central for exploring the area and there are shops/fuel very close, either side of you. Camping fees are the cheapest i know of and...

I thought that I would add a review as the only relatively recent review was less than positive.||A few facts to start with, yes the amenities seem to utilise bore water but as a Sydney-sider I didn't find it offensive. To me, that is all part of travelling and trying different experiences. ||Yes, there was a great atmosphere about the place when the tavern filled up.||Yes, the food wasn't fine dining but was well cooked home food at a pub where I didn't have to move my RV if I enjoyed a few beers.||Would I go back there again, yes! It was quiet, convenient, fun and the service by all of the staff that we met or dealt with...
