A nice restaurant, set up beside some Jetty's, overlooking Spring Bay. I imagine it would be very popular in Summer.... But in Winter, well.. There were five tables in total, one waitress kept busy, but everthing was very good and service quiet prompt. We tried the baked Scallops- very nice, served in the shell with a cauliflower pure and sprinkled with prosciutto shards/crumb. I myself would have liked them so much better if they were left with the roe on. But thats just me, i prefer scallops left with roe on- that way you know your getting real fresh scallops, and not some pretend alternative. People can always cut the roe off, if its not there thing. I also had the Tasmanian Salmon served with chips and salad which was very good also, and my partner tried the chicken Curry which he said was excellent- served in seperate bowl to the rice and Naan bread on side. Definetly come back in summer!

My family just had a truly wonderful dinner at the Spring Bay Seafood & Wine Bar. We were passing through Orford for the night on our way to Maria Island, this was the perfect comforting meal. The fish and chips were a definite highlight, a solid five-star dish that I would highly recommend. Never had fish and chips this superlicious. The fish was perfectly cooked, flaky, and encased in a crispy, golden batter. The oysters were also an absolute delight—so fresh and incredibly sweet. It's clear that this restaurant takes great pride in its seafood, and the quality shines through in every bite. The atmosphere was welcoming, and the service was friendly. Most of the patrons are people living in the vicinity. Can see them engaging in friendly conversations with the service staff. A fantastic experience all around and a great find! I'll definitely be back if I'm ever in the area again.

Just wanted to share our wonderful experience at this place. We were a walk-in group of 10, we were warmly greeted by our very pleasant waiter. Everyone absolutely enjoyed the dish they ordered - off the top of my head it was the prawn linguine, chicken burger, beef burger, spaghetti and meatballs (kids), tandoori chicken pizza, soup of the day. Oh the chips were made to perfection- super crunchy. All dishes were on point. Totally worth a trip if you are in the area and looking for a spot to eat. Lovely water views too. Also they have beer on tap, seniors meals (24 for a main and dessert) and a kids menu. Thanks for giving us all a wonderful meal and an amazing time.

We dined here for 2 nights waited over an hour both nights for food second night almost 2 hours! Which was ridiculous. They also brought out a kids meal and a pizza very randomly within the first 5mins of ordering than everything else took nearly 2 hours! We had 6 kids on the table! You can’t bring one kids meals out and not the others. The second night was horrible we complained and kept reminding them that there were missing drinks and the food was taking too long. Yes yes it’s coming …oh actually no we’ve run out of chicken wings can’t get that anymore.

First night also they were out of a lot of things on the menu. They really need to restructure their kitchen they definitely don’t know what they are doing. When we gave them feedback they said the delay was because we ordered at different times which we did one big order then he (the manager) printed out the receipt and had still charged us for the chicken wings that they ran out of and didn’t receive.

It was very messy he did take some things of the second night receipt which either didn’t make the table or was extremely late to the point of not being able to eat it.

Still pretty ridiculous and very silly excuses. The food was fine but they need some serious training in there. I wouldn’t recommend for the above reasons but if you don’t mind waiting it’s not a bad place with...

The worst dining experience I have ever had. Not once but twice. We were away on a family holiday staying at the same venue. Accommodation was amazing but the hospitality at the restaurant was pathetic. Everything was an issue for the staff. Food was nice. But diminished by the staff and their attention to detail and general positive attitude towards customers. Our first night we had a large table of 10. Not that big really but for them it was a massive issue. Not only in getting orders right but when we went to pay (split bill) and apparently we were taking too long for their manager to process our payments. The second experience was even worse. We decided to get take away pizzas (2 of them). We were waiting in their restaurant. After 50 minutes I asked how much longer they were going to be. The waiter went and got them. They had been ready for some time and were cold. No apologies. No explanation. Just cold pizza. Not even worth one star. Would hate to see how they handled it if they were...

We ordered 2 x pina coladas and 1 spring bay martini - we ordered this because we wanted to try the local spring bay gin. I watched the server make it with Gordon’s gin. When we checked with him he originally lied but then said he thought that the spring bay gin wasn’t nice and was doing us a favour by giving us Gordon’s - it was very busy so we opted to keep our martini with the Gordon’s. When we paid I clarified that we would not be paying for the spring bay gin as we hadn’t received it, he stated he would still be charging full price. I explained to him the extreme price difference between the gins and politely refused to pay for a top quality gin I had not been given. He begrudgingly charged us $4 less for the cocktail - thank you for this resolution but we would likely have stayed and enjoyed more drinks had it been an enjoyable atmosphere. The pina coladas were barely alcoholic and...
