Outstanding! From the moment you enter this restaurant you are hit this amazing smell of coffee and chocolate. The decor is so beautiful you won't wont to leave, being surrounded by freshly cut flowers for all the tables and the absolute best music play list I have ever heard at any restaurant, which isn't obnoxiously loud like a lot of place's. The desserts i am told are made by an in house patisserie chef who made cheesecake and gatue for the spirit of Tasmania for over 20 years and supplied her housemade cakes to other restaurant's and cafes around the North west. I was lucky enough to stumble across this beautiful place and the desserts are so beautiful it's like getting a big warm hug from your mama when you eat them. The lunch menu was incredibly scrumptious and the food all so fresh. The staff told me the savoury chef makes everything in house fresh daily and produce is carefully selected on a daily basis to ensure quality is paramount. The house made slasa verde and the ailoi and honey mustard dressing that goes with each dish is so beautiful and surprising on your taste buds.. and not to mention proper hot chocolates being made with real housemade Ganache. This is the first only only place I have been where they make their own house made ganache for their hot chocolates and milkshakes. The service is attentive and professional, and they come up to you, to greet you as you get to the counter, even when they are busy. which I may add is very rare. Do your self a favour and try this beautiful locally owned restaurant. So many independent restaurants close down early in their infancy and this place is truly a gem.

And oh! How could I forget to mention the owner has designed and created a perfume based on Tasmanian rose's, pink pepperberry and leather wood honey. Called the modern siren. This perfume deserves world wide recognition for it's sophisticated, elegance and longevity. I could not stop smelling myself once I wore it. It then dried down to a beautiful cocao tonka bean note on my skin... Absolutely divine.

I get so passionate about local buisness owners who are trying to make a difference offering something incredibly different, and unique. I truly hope this cafe/restaurant thrives in these difficult...

Shocking, pathetic, ridiculous food!! The staff were very friendly and kind, however upon ordering a tasting platter, expecting something at least average if not excellent, given the lovely location, we were genuinely shocked to be served a selection of the cheapest and nastiest supermarket salamis and cheeses, stale bread, all toped off with the SALAMI STICKS (!) ... I could never in my dreams imagine to be served salami sticks at a restaurant - you see that stuff at a servo counter. Ham and cheese croissant also looked like the cheap supermarket stuff, again with some budget half cheese half gelatine in it ... Just incredible. Something a 5 year old would put together if you told them to do a restaurant meal. Just ridiculous. All finished with a juice bottle that had mould under its lid. Could be just bad luck, but too much of it! The manager here needs to take a serious look at themselves. I don't care we paid a good restaurant price, but one would expect at least a half decent effort. Again - pathetic, ridiculous, to the point one isn't sure whether to laugh or be angry at the stupidity or audacity, whichever it is. Coffee was nice, and again, the staff...

Do not eat here!

I suffered violent food poisoning from this restaurant. I ate the chicken dish and within 40 minutes I was nauseous, stomach cramps and vomiting uncontrollably for hours. The restaurant was made aware by my daughter to not continue serving this dish, approximately 1 hr after we left, they blew her off unconcerned.

I have since contacted the restaurant, Woolmers estate and the health department. The restaurant was so unconcerned, it is a disgrace. This was so severe, and legitimately a health issue, that should have been addressed and taken seriously. The restaurant did not check on my well being once informed. The CEO of Woolmers did reply my email with the concerns. The restaurant is leased by an independent owner. Avoid...
