Stopped by to Grab a late lunch today and was surprised by the great menu options and a few unique ones too. The food we got was fantastic good mix of flavours and good size portions. The inside of this place is tasteful put together with a nice mix of timber furniture and art work which you can purchase. There is to separated river facing decks and two big bars to order you drinks and meals from and plenty of inside dinning . all round a good spot to enjoy an beer or a meal .

This family run hotel and restaurant/bistro was a pleasantly good surprise. All our 4 different meals were perfectly cooked and presented, fair prices and good sized. I'm a Parmi fan but tried the Schnitzel Volcano and loved the curry scallop topping. Steaks were perfectly cooked as were the roast veggies. There are plenty of gluten free options and my wife loved the Calamari main. Basic but good wine list too...

Even though I'm a local, it had been several years since I had been here for a drink, or a meal. A prior publican had come out to the smoking area and told me to f* off and smoke dope at home. Rather strange considering my rolly consisted entirely of Dr Pat cigarette tobacco. Last week, the first thing I noticed was the smokers area was vastly improved for the comfort of those of us addicted to the demon tobacco. I ordered a filet mignon for lunch and my companion ordered a mixed seafood dish. The servings were large and cooked to perfection. I'm notorious in the valley for being one of the top three home cooks and my companion used to be a chef a few decades ago. The only possible improvement to my meal would have been for the bacon to be dry-cured, free-range, but that's next to impossible to source reliably. I intend lunching there today with another foodie friend and I suspect this will become a regular occurrence. The barmaid was friendly and efficient. The food came out of the kitchen remarkably quickly though there were only three tables occupied being wintertime. All too often service deteriorates when it's quiet. The wine we drank was available by the glass, and very reasonably priced. All in all, several notches above the...

This is a place you must visit. Despite the first impression outside, you are received with very friendly and helpful staff. The Chef’s culinary work is Magic. Try the seafood Chowder. Highly recommended and superb on a cold day. Curly chips were filling and tasty. Parmi was bigger than the plate and the salt and Pepper squid soft and juicy.

Our party of 6 from Western Australia left completely happy and pleasantly full. Thanks to the whole team for a cost effective experience.

P.S.The tossed Brioche burger and chips included an icy treat. Kids loved it.

We will return. Peter & Jeannie...

Situated right on the Huon Highway that runs through Franklin in the Huon Valley in southern Tasmania. It's not the prettiest venue from the street but well worth the visit. We pre booked as there were not many places open on a Sunday night for a party of 20 people. We wanted to get together prior to a family funeral the next day. They were very patient while we sorted ourselves out and caught up with interstate visitors The food was hot and plentiful with the largest chicken parmas I've seen. Although time sped on the staff was happy for us to take our time. Thank you to...
