Wayatinah Tavern — Restaurant in Tasmania

I thought I would leave a review as most are years old. This tavern has had a recent refresh, and looks very clean and tidy. Clearly a hub for the local community, it still felt welcoming and casual. Great friendly service too.

It's the only place to eat in the area. Food was well priced and came out relatively quickly. Cheap and cheerful is how my wife would describe it. Don't expect restaurant quality and fresh produce, it's a remotely located pub and that's the style of food. But the price is right and if you want a hot meal it's your best option. This place was our savior on our drive to Hobart from Cradle Mountain. We were unaware of how remote the A10 down the west coast of Tazzy was and and we were running on gas fumes. The store/gas side of things were closed but the man behind the bar Steve i think it was was more than happy to turn it on for us so we could be on our way...
