My wife and I celebrated our 10 year anniversary at Wild Harvest during our King Island trip. It was such a memorable experience. The ocean is in view from your table and seeing a handful of local chooks, wallabies and sheep strolling through the street outside is lovely. Ian takes great pride in his establishment and of the island itself. It makes you appreciate each bite that bit more when you hear him provide a back story to the importance of the produce used. We enjoyed the gentle interraction with other tables through the night while and felt like we were all lucky to be in the moment, enjoying the gastronomic journey Wild Harvest took us on. What a wonderful place, we spent our evening last Sunday there . We tasted for the first time wallaby steak with a wide variety of vegetables, it was absolutely delicious. The place is spotless and the staff very friendly. The ambiance is relaxed with great views over the harbour and beyond and surrounded by wildlife including wallaby grazing on the front green. There is regularly background entertainment from a lovely couple with their repertoire of classical, light jazz and relaxed pop, playing a variety of instruments (clarinet, saxophones, harmonica....) with vocal harmonies that will raise the hairs on the back of your neck. A Truly Special Dining Experience 🌿

This was hands-down one of the best meals we’ve ever had. The food was incredible, clearly made with love.

The owners were so welcoming and shared the amazing story of how they built the restaurant from foraged materials on King Island. Watching wallabies graze outside while we ate just made it even more magical.

As a coeliac, I’m used to limited options, but everything here is made from scratch and they were so accommodating. We left feeling full, happy, and really connected to the people, the story, and the place....
