So glad we tried it! The staff was very nice and it was lovely to sit outside in a place that felt so neighborhood-y. The food was good, but not exceptional. My avocado and dukkah came with one very good soft poached egg (a little bit of the white was still runny, so not perfect) but the other egg had been mangled—halved and the yoke cooked solid, which the kitchen tried to hide. Some of the avocado wasn’t nearly close enough to ripe. And the was a flavor element missing. My husband said the same of his potato balls over spinach; could have used feta maybe. It wasn’t clear from the taste whether the hot chocolates had been made from water or milk (not very creamy, in other words), and the tomato sauce or relish on the bacon sandwich kinda made it taste McDonald’s-y. I’m complaining a lot and being a little picky—it certainly wasn’t terrible, I just wish I’d gotten better hot chocolate and maybe tried the pancakes instead.

Review scoring: 3 as expected based on price, quality and reputation, ie as expected. 4 better than expected and 2 lower quality than expected. 5 absolutely outstanding in all respects against expectations; food quality and presentation, staff, decor and atmosphere. Great little find!!! Funky cafe, great staff and menu of local produce. Highly recommend this wonderful place. The lamb pie was succulent and tasty and served with amazing pickled peelings of golden beet on top green leaves. The cheese toasty was really great with cheddar and Brie with prosciutto Washed down with a glass of local wine
.. really great and thank you to the wonderful information desk lady from QLD for the amazing information and recommendation. This town rocks in the high country. Its people are friendly, the town is lovely and there is great coffee and food

Grabbed a quick long black on my way to Albury and had friendly service, and enjoyed browsing the cook books and gifts whilst I waited. Then on my return trip decided to stop in for brunch and had the dukkah eggs and hummus - yummy thick wholesome toast, delicious dukkah, hummus and spinach. Very straightforward, yet an interesting and delicious combo of flavours. Staff were again very friendly and the cafe has a lovely inviting atmosphere. I’ll hit the cake cabinet next time, which looked very tempting! Delighted to find this wee gem. Lovely outdoor seating to for the warmer months. Well done team! đŸ‘đŸ»đŸ‘đŸ»

Nest Cinema Cafe Books Tumbarumba is an absolute gem nestled in the heart of the snowy region. From the moment you step in, you're enveloped in a warm and inviting atmosphere that combines the best of food, film, and hospitality. The menu, a testament to their commitment to local produce, features a delectable lamb Rogan josh curry and an irresistible steak sandwich that leaves your taste buds dancing with joy.

Sitting by the crackling fire on a chilly winter's day is an experience that's both comforting and enchanting. The cinema itself is a charming blend of spaciousness and coziness, boasting comfortable recliner chairs that pamper you with footrests. The staff, radiating friendliness, add an extra layer of warmth to the visit.

Though slightly on the pricier side, the quality and attentive service are worth every cent. Nest Cinema Cafe Books Tumbarumba has firmly etched itself onto my must-visit list, making it an essential stop on any snowy region itinerary. With its unbeatable combination of delectable cuisine, cinematic marvels, and welcoming staff, the overall experience is...
