I'm shocked to read other reviews complementing the friendliness of the staff, clearly there is some kind of local bias here, because my experience was the polar opposite. We were a party of 6 kids and 5 adults with a reservation. When we arrived there was no host to greet us at the entrance, so naturally as a group we approached the counter to find out where we would be seated. A waitress approached us and without any kind of welcome, tactlessly started trying to herd us into the line for the people ordering based on her own assumption that this is what we were trying to do. After we were eventually shown our table we had to collect the menus ourselves because the waitress forgot to bring them to our table. I then took my daughter to buy a jug of lemon squash for the kids from the bar, as there was no way to order a drink from the bistro. I dont drink alcohol and being from interstate, I was not aware of the NSW law regarding taking kids to the bar and I did not see any signage indicating that this isn't acceptable. The elderly gentleman tending the bar initiated our interaction by commenting that bringing a child to the bar was "not a good look", basically intimating that this was somehow a poor parenting decision. As a holiday destination near the NSW border, I'm sure they get this a lot but this is no excuse for being rude and speaking down to customers. I ordered a parma and it was cold in the middle. This is mainly lounge bar. Looking away from the bar view. Great Variety of seating inside and outside. Great service at the Bar from all variety of staff. Got too learn about the specials on Food and drinks they have going for the week.. Wed night Snitzel Night $15. Thursday night Steak night with middy of beer or house wine.. or soft drink. With Sunday $20 Roast. Kitchen is open 1130am till 2pm. ( Lunch ). 530pm till 830-9pm. They have a lil mini van too pick up 8/10 people. From Wednesday - Saturday. They have 37 pokies including the ones outside in smoking area. Got TAB with TAB ATM too use too get cash out. Got 2 sets of bathrooms on either side of the bar.. Do great coffee from local produce. If you sign up as a member. You get points on your card from buying drinks or food or winning trophies at golf too use your points too pay for food or drinks on your card. If it's your birthday you get $10 voucher. I find this place too be entertaining for a quiet place too visit too play Golf. It's got alot too offer. Great scenery. Period. That is all that can be said about this establishment. The flocks of "Mario cart 3" "competition" golfers could have been ammusing, if they weren't so disturbing to the very essence of the game, as trying to be enjoyed on a lazy Sunday morning. The very unhelpful staff of the "pro" shop should be better positioned to fill sand buckets, not organise competition schedules. Their "attentiveness" is somethimg to be searched for - most likely in the rough.

Lunch at the "joint" was no better. 50 minutes (I kid you not!) waiting for a freshly frozen "fish of the day" (bassa from Woolies that you could have fried better) did not help. We even had staff coming over to clean the table before the food had arrived!

To all the minimum wagers there, my sympathy. To the owners, managers, and "pros" - shame on you! You have a beautiful piece of coast there. Stop f@ing it up!
