Feel of a small town pub. The locals had their dogs going in and out, the local fellas seemed to have afternoon drinks and a feed and head off. People were calling each other by name and it was a nice vibe. We did wait a very long time for our meals. We expected some wait but it was over an hour waiting for our food. The kids were getting a bit hangry but we managed - anyone with very young kids can mention it when you order kids meals for them to come out sooner, it says on the menu, but you do have to mention it apparently as our kids meal came out with the rest about 1hr 10min after ordering. The other kids were sharing adult meals anyway so it wouldn't have applied. They were out of oysters with the seafood platter but no-one let us know until we started eating and went up to the bar to enquire where the oysters were. It would've been good to know that when we ordered. We ended up with chips, 4 prawns, two prawn cocktails, 4 large pieces of salt N pepper squid, 2 pieces of battered fish and 4 prawn and caper toast pieces for our $60 which was reasonable. Bar service was great. Very fast. The atmosphere was good and the food was lovely. The beers from the taps were great.

What an absolute hidden treasure!! Tucked away, this little pub looks very unassuming from the outside. Open the doors are you are welcomed by an incredible rustic pub! Big one fire place, indoor and out door seating, warm hospitality and the most delicious meals we’ve had in a long time! The food was so good we all came back the best day 🤣 Food aside, the hospitality, care and attention to detail is was really makes this place. I love seeing real pride in what someone does. Thanks team! Highly recommend anything on this menu but to name a few highlights, the red curry prawn dumplings, prawn and crab nachos, seared tuna soba salad, Cluck-a-moo Parmy, calamari Schnity and the creamy garlic prawns were insanely good! If you are in town, head in a support these guys, and if you are driving past the turn off to Tuross Head, it’s 100% worth the diversion!

There’s not enough Stars to describe this little gem of a country watering hole The food is outstanding as is the friendly atmosphere of locals First time found Many time returns 10 Stars We have since been back because of the great time we had and it wasn’t the same experience as the first visit Pretty disappointing bar staff who seemed to resent holiday makers with blunt responses to requests or questions It was noticed she had a different attitude to the locals by body language and attitude by us and others ! Rolling your eyes gives it away !!! Although the food was tasty its was a drop from the first experience Disappointing 😏

I was overwhelmed by the poor customer service I experienced when I was there for dinner with 4 other friends to celebrate a birthday as follows: ordered a cook your own steak, was shortly thereafter told that they weren't serving steak because there was a function where the grill was, so we asked if it would be okay to have it grilled, assuming I'd just pay a bit more, the response was no because the people preparing the food are Chefs not Cooks so they won't 'cook' (grill) me a steak... I was shocked, their menu consists of pub food, mainly deep fried, -I take 5 minutes (give or take) to revise my order, come up to pay the difference and am over charged, luckily I'd already calculated the difference because I didn't trust them to look after me after the above response as to why I'm not able to have a steak in this pub, I'd ordered with a friend (Vodafone doesn't provide reception in town and you need to order online), our other 3 friends (5 of us in total) were served, ate, moved on to more drinks and was contemplating dessert and we were still waiting (had been about 30 minutes after they ate at this stage). I'd ordered a seafood platter (most of which was preprepared, cooked prawns, smoked salmon (like you'd get from Coles or Woolies), a smoked muscle, and my friend ordered fried chicken, we ask how far away our meals are and are told 3 minutes, put a timer on, 5 minutes pass without our meals (over promised, under delivered), staff come to clear drinking glasses, our frineds plates were taken some time earlier, I ask about our meals again, with frustration in my voice I ask why it's taking so long when half of my platter (fried fish and calamari is the only cooked items and they're fried), to which the response was something to the effect of it's my fault I ordered later than our 3 friends (because of the steak situation), which I responded to, well it was on the menu, the response to this was, 'you're not the only 1 here, there's a function of 30 people down stairs' (and we were the biggest table, with maybe 6 other tables in the main area), so my friend asks on my behalf, because I was shocked at this poor customer service, if I'm able to get something to eat while I wait, response was you can buy some packet chips at the bar or we can refund you. we frustratingly wait another 10-15 minutes for our meals, my seafood platter didn't have any oysters despite them being listed as part of the platter, wasn't advised they'd run out of anything, wasn't replaced with anything else or more of anything else (1 piece of fish, 1 smoked muscle, 1 slice of cold smoked salmon, 5 prawns AND THE WORST CALAMARI I'VE EVER HAD (this is listed as the best calamari you'll ever have. The breading is grainy, like corn meal, the calamari itself was nice but the breading was thick and claggy, salad, 1 crumbed prawn (tasted like it had freezer burn and wasn't made recently, if at all by the 'Chefs', and some chips (like you get at a kids soccer match canteen), I was too overwhelemed by responses to my feelings before to even say anything about the missing oysters.

What I liked: the beer battered fish was amazing, the cooked (previously, served cold) prawns were to die for, salad dressing was well balanced.

Everything else sucked and I'd never go back. The customer service is a direct representation of how the wait staff are treated too. When I went back to reorder, one of the 'Chefs' told the wait staff serving me to keep her elbows in because he couldn't get passed as easily as he wanted to, mind you her elbows were only out enough to reach the counter to write the order or calculate fees.

To top it off, not one person in the kitchen was wearing a mask (which was manditory at the...

In town from Sydney visiting family over the holidays. Honestly the best food, service and value for money I’ve had in years! Upon ordering the cashier notified us there would be a 45min-1hr wait, as they were clearly very busy. We appreciated the heads up before ordering, however it promptly arrived within about 35mins. Very reasonable given how busy they were and for 3 main meals. I’ve waited longer for entrees in Sydney establishments that were much quieter than this! We shared the cheese and garlic pizza, my partner had the parmi and I had the salt and pepper calamari. VERY good value for money and the portion sizes were huge! Pizza was delicious, my partner loved his parmi and that was the best (and biggest) calamari, chips and salad I’ve ever had. Flavourful, tender calamari and scrumptious tartare sauce, which tasted homemade. During our meals the chef came out to ask how everything was and apologised profusely for the wait. Honestly an amazing pub! Would...
