Axedale Tavern - Great Atmosphere, Friendly Service, and Delicious Pizza

We recently visited the Axedale Tavern, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The staff were welcoming and provided friendly, attentive service that made us feel right at home. The tavern has a warm and inviting atmosphere, perfect for a casual meal or a relaxed night out.

The pizzas were delicious. We tried a few different varieties, including the Dutchy’s Special (loaded with prawns, olives, mushrooms, and plenty of cheese), the Meat Lovers (packed with tender chicken and smoky bacon), and the Tandoori Chicken pizza (generously topped with tandoori-spiced chicken, fresh rocket, and a drizzle of creamy sauce). Each pizza was cooked to perfection with a crisp base and fresh, flavourful toppings. We also enjoyed the garlic bread, which was perfectly toasted with just the right amount of garlic and herbs, a great starter to share. Amazing!!! Had my son's 21st birthday here last night. It was only a few days notice and management were way above accommodating. Service was exceptional, 100% of the staff went over and above to ensure that all needs were catered for with a smile, nothing was a problem. Fantastic venue with a lot of old pub charm and various spaces available for a variety of functions an numbers of patrons. Awesome open air beer garden and covered beer garden with inviting ambience. Thanks to all staff and management, my son was totally impressed with our choice of venue. We will be back and will highly recommend, no question. Also food was amazing, this is top quality and generous servings. Oh, and had to return next morning to collect a car we had to leave there overnight and got coffees. Decided to stop on way back from Bendigo, has been many year's since we have been here. They have done the place up since then and it looks great and loving the outside area. I don't understand why you put young kid's on that really don't know the menu! Ordered the Dutchy special pizza, Calamari, pork belly, cauliflower bites and chips from the something small menu. Calamari was the best but only 5 on a plate for $18 dollars was not worth it. Cauliflower was the next best thing, the rest was all down hill, pork was average and please explain how you let soggy chip's go out! The pizza started off good but you soon realised is was so salty and we got no prawns! So disappointing as this place has so much potential! Will come back for a beer in the garden in summer, think we will skip...
