I've been to a number of the Beechworth Bakeries. I rate them all high as they offer a great range of products, always tasty and the environment clean. So what prompted me to write another review. Exceptional service. There is a young man that works there who served my wife and I. The first thing that you notice is his smile. Then his greeting polite, pleasant and that desire to assist. It was mid afternoon so a lot of their lovely pies were sold. You could if you were serving not say anything but this young man is enterprising and sold us something else. The young man that served me is Pat. Pat has my respect and admiration. A group of Intellectually Disabled people entered the shop approximately 8 along with a two workers. This for them was a reward but also a learning experience shopping and money skills. Pat gave them the same smile, courtesy and respect. He served them individually to enhance their learning experience. As a Nurse, a human being I was very impressed and highly commend him for his professionalism, compassion and a...

We were there on a busy Sunday - tourists (including us) everywhere! But for the second time in four days, the service was excellent here! Friendly and enthusiastic staff, and really quick service despite the place being packed. Well done dudes.

Beachworth sourdough wasn't particularly sour or rustic, but boy was it nice! Perhaps it was a nice break from our usual heavy home-made sourdough?

And.... 50c discount for coffee in your own mugs.... so nice to not get some OHS excuse. And for those without own cups.... teal mugs - again no lame excuses about drought needing disposable cups! And.... huge pots of tea.... none of those lame tiny pots other places...

If you are driving through Yakandandah and feeling a bit peckish, I would absolutely recommend calling in at the Beechworth Bakery (Yakandandah) I had one of the best curry pies (Sri Lankan curried pie) that I’ve ever had. If you like your curry hot, this pie is to die for. My husband thoroughly enjoyed the Ned Kelly pie that he ordered and we both loved the Beestings that we had for dessert. I even bought one to take home for later. (There goes my diet) 🙄. Absolutely...

Ok I sorry I have to do this but I am so sick of people lieing, I asked was it chucky steak not minced and he said it's chunky steak but it's 3 chunks and the rest is sauce and MINCE! Mince gives me indigestion that's why I ask not just for the sake of it. $8.50! Not happy I don't have money to burn I buy a pie as a treat on my travels. ☹️

The young lady who served us was absolutely very sweet and friendly. We were very impressed at how welcoming she was. Definitely made our morning! We tried the ned kelly pie (very filling, especially with the egg inside) and apple turnover was super yummy! Coffee was good too :) A lovely bakery in a lovely town.
