Visiting and droping by at the Chocolate Mill is a must! Will definitely recommend! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ My friends and I had out late breakfast at Chocolate Mill and I could say that we really had a great time in there. The hot chocolate was really good. I got Milk Chocolate which is really yummy and one of my friends had White Chocolate. I feel like if I will order again, I will get the White Chocolate as it is really creamy and tastes really good! 💖 My other friend got the chili chocolate and said that it was really good as well! 🌶 We shared a slice of Carrot Cake and a Cheese Cake which are both superb! 💯 We are lucky to get it because it looks like those are the last slices 😂 They have a wonderful space that has mini playground for children to play. 🛝 On the outside, they got a lake beside them where you can just sit and enjoy the view. 👀 The staff were really friendly as well and greeted everyone with a big friendly smile 💕 They also have lots of merch and food products that you can buy and take home for you and your loved ones! They were selling their huggable mugs as well and got some shirts too! 👕 We will definitely go back and try other menus next time! 🥰

Nearly didn’t visit but so glad I did. Absolutely gorgeous bush setting with many tables amongst the plants and flowers. Plenty of parking. 100% the best latte I have had in 7 months travelling Australia. Barista has experience in Iran and NewYork and it shows. Just divine. As for the chocolaterie. Soooo many options to choose from. Absolutely mind boggling. The staff were experienced in customer service, interested in the clients conversation and efficient at their profession. Unlike another Belgian chocolate outlet in SE QLD I visited, The Chocolate Mill has very reasonable pricing AND you know the produce is fresh. From the number of customers when it is busy I think it’s safe to say that product turnover is quite high. Not a place for savoury hot or cold meals. Specialises in a large variety of beverages, cakes and of course chocolates. Overall a lovely experience and I enjoyed it more than I thought I would. Even had a little education on Straw bale housing. 10/10

Visited this lovely chocoholics Heaven just prior to Easter & found the experience not only delicious it was delightful. (Any ‘sweet-tooth’ or ‘chocoholic’ at heart would love it and agree!) Do yourself a favour & indulge in a hot chocolate, made from Fair Trade, Belgium Chocolate, (made on site), simply irresistible, cakes decadent & yummy too! Chocolates are a little pricey however all, Fair Trade, Palm Oil free, responsibly Farmed etc. The Chocolate Mill is worth the visit if your in the area. Ps. For those that are Disabled or need accessible info... Good car park area for mini buses to unload. Generally the main premises is wheelchair accessible and friendly although a little ‘tight’ in some places. Disabled accessible toilet facilities available, no hoist. The garden is lovely & worth wandering, some areas are ok by w/chair, although give the ‘stoney’ areas a miss. Have fun! :-) 🍰🫖☕️🍫🍴

Came for partners birthday during a trip to daylesford. After ordering, paying for ( at the retail shop - ordering take out from the cafe as well ) then waiting in line to collect back over at the café we were told the last of a cake had been sold just before us (the slice was sitting on the counter and had clearly been double sold )

The manager 'Nicki' comes out saying they have no replacements or extra cake. What would be an annoying / misfortunate time was made into a terrible experience by the condescending attitude and lack of apology given. After I commented ' a count for everything wouldn't be a bad idea ' albeit sarcastically her rude remarks towards us caused me to then cancel the rest of our order due to not wanting to spend money here. Her snide remark was ' that's fine we don't need your money '.

"We" I assume is the company itself. If the company is unfortunate enough to have her as a long standing employee or is a part owner, they're lucky it's a tourist trap monolopy where customer service, stock tracking or staff commutation regarding the former two are needed.

Despite not needing our money, orders are hand written on scraps of paper from the retail store to a larger notebook where orders are and written. If ones business is choosing not to run POS machines (not running from fiscal necessity ) then keeping staff informed and counting items is an area that front of staff could work on. I say this due to a firm belief that Nicki and her fake smile will be much harder to adjust than simply keeping the lovely ladies at the tills informed.

TL;DR : many better options to support local...

The thing about chocolate shops is that they are an absolute 'want' not 'need', right??

We are chocolate obsessed and are well known to drop over $100 in one shop for quality chocolate/truffles. However, because we recognise this is a luxury item, the decider on whether to buy up big or walk out empty-handed, 100% comes down to our experience and the company's customer service.

This morning, we lugged our caravan and children in the complete opposite direction to where we were headed, specifically to buy brittle (and then a myriad of other delights, no doubt!). I looked and looked but couldn't find it so I asked the staff member. He casually said they didn't have any right now and then walked away.

Disappointed (about both the no brittle situation and the 20-minute pointless detour), we stood there for a minute pondering our next move. Had the staff member apologised/acknowledged our disappointment and immediately suggested something similar or even something different but equally as amazing, we would have no doubt bought it and other things. But he didn't. He just continued on with his tasks, so we left,...
