I hear on the grape vine that this old pub will be reborn as a B&B when renovations are completed.

Now temporarily closed due to structural faults! Yesterday I was walking by and saw some photographs of the appalling state of the building internally! No maintenance evident in decades I reckon!

New owners are into repairs already with a new roof at the front. They intend to renovate top to bottom and open as B & B once completed. It will take a few years at least. Much better pub now (Have not visited here for ages due to a total lack of service last time. I like the decor. Had a good wine. Will do a meal next time. Much friendlier too! Well done team! We have only recently moved into the area and started going here Friday nights. It was great, everyone was friendly. We were made very welcome by Chrissy and Dave. Unfortunately they are no longer there and for us it is no longer as good as what it was. Our family came up for the weekend and so we went to the pub for tea. We only knew the raffle had been drawn while we went to the bar to buy another drink. No one came and asked if we wanted to buy tickets. Chrissy made sure everyone had the opportunity to enter the raffle, now it seems not everyone gets that choice. Not sure that it will be a regular Friday night outing...
