Lovely town. Pretty store and lots of products, wine, food and beverages inside.
Went for morning tea with hubby but lady who initially served me at counter was terribly rude IMO (cannot remember her name but she had an accent French? Perhaps?).
Food was quick and other younger lady that table served was lovely. Definitely on the pricier end of the market but lovely food and large servings.
I was surprised that my cup of tea didn’t come with extra water so that I could adjust strength (that has been the normal in my experience with many similar establishments) but that would be my only issue food and beverage wise.
Seating both inside and out available.
3 stars simply due to abrasive and rude way I was treated at counter when ordering by what I can only assume was a person in a senior position.
Not sure if husband and I would visit again as he was also not impressed with how I was spoken too.
No complaints otherwise and a nice Sunday brunch with my husband… but our first impressions...
Read moreOn Sunday we enjoyed a delicious lunch and local cider whilst sitting outside listening to a talented guitar player/singer who provided good entertainment without stopping conversation .
The menu listed many dishes from the all-day breakfast items plus lunch choices, including their own smoked salmon, cured meats and cheeses etc. as well as excellent pumpkin & chicken risotto (my choice), vegetable quiche , steak, lamb and more.
The wine and dessert lists also offered interesting selections.
Don't leave without checking out the large range of produce inside, all sources locally.
This is a charming location in a relaxing atmosphere where the staff are pleasant and efficient and the prices very reasonable. We will definitely be back...

Made with locally sourced produce you can also have a glass/bottle ifocal wine to complement it. We had risotto with chicken and crispy prosciutto and a beautiful Caesar salad with chicken which were both outstanding. They also do home made pies and pasties, toasties for something lighter coffee is excellent and there is a great selection of home made cakes. They also stock local produce and wine to purchase - cheese, smallgoods, seasonal fruit and vegetables as well as chocolates, nougat, biscuits etc. There is a great playground for the kids across the road and eady access to the Harcourt mountain...
