Now I never write reviews, but I just have to blow the lid on this place. So I finally got around to checking out this crowd and their much hyped bakery goods. Purchased 2 Morning Buns, a pastry with lemon icing and a small Spelt loaf. So how much should that cost methinks??? So I crack open the wallet and reach for $20 expecting some change, only to be told that the total cost will be $29! Oh my days and give me strength in these inflationary and high cost of living times. Please be reasonable and show some respect to your struggling customers with your pricing! Just because we live on the Bellarine does not give you an excuse to price gauge. Now I did not want make a fuss with people waiting behind me to be served and thought it best to write this review on Google for all to see. Now I am pretty sure good and fair business practices involves displaying prices but there were none to be seen - very clever! Now for the taste test when we get home. Portions were undersized and for prices this steep how about a generous serving that could be shared? I have to admit though that the pastries were tasty and went well with my coffee. However, the Spelt bread was too sweet and had no nutty characteristics whatsoever! Not even Jesus would have...

Had heard good things about this bakery and had bought their wares at market so I couldn’t wait to try their shop front. I couldn’t have been treated with more contempt if I had worn a seal pup jacket! The scowl I received for ordering a sourdough and 2 pastries was contemptuous. And then my disabled friend was pushed aside by another staff member carrying a delivery, hurling her backwards into a wooden shelf
her cane (that is used to prevent her falls) was sent asunder and it was all I could do to stop her from falling. No apology, no acknowledgement of poor behaviour and no consideration for their customers. We enquired about a lemon tart that we thought we had bought on a previous visit and were told in no uncertain terms that we were wrong, and that no tart like this existed in their shop. I don’t mind service with a scowl if the price is right
but this place does not deliver!

Won’t be back, and won’t support any further market stalls...

Oh boy. O Honestly, people that put 1 star reviews and "blow lid" on the place. Are you guys insane?! I make sure I get to this bakery every time I visit at Leonard's ( 15 min out of my way by the way). This is the only place in the area that you can get an unmatching quality of the bread. Now, I'm a sourdough home baker myself . I look forward to tucking into these amazing baguettes and pastries every time I leave the place. In other words, I can't wait to go back to it. You, entitled crowd of mass production, don't even know what it takes to a make a loaf of bread!!!! I wish I could erase all those nonsense reviews for this place as they don't deserve it. For the quality of the bread I forgive them being sometimes short with their service as I understand how busy they are. Seriously, people, you have to be kinder than this one star reviews....

I wanted to buy the whole shop of it's products. 😂 Instead we bought half the shop 😂, sat outside, devoured the pastries, made yum yum noises and went back in to buy another round for dessert last night. We bought 3 loaves of bread for dinner last night. Only a third of a loaf of olive bread made it to dinner. The sour dough baguette was well and truly devoured by then! The ambience and setting of the bakery really fits its products. Please don't change. Lune has got nothing on you guys!

Delicious fresh bread that is clearly popular so definitely recommend going early as to not miss out. The table loaf is fantastic simply with a bit of butter and must get a scrumptious pastry too. We had the raspberry croissant that is filled with a nice amount of jam. The lemon chausson is tasty and not too sweet. And of course fruit Danish was great with very yum custard. Also cheaper than what you would get in Melbourne at the proper bakeries.

We’re UK based & have just taken a week to travel from Melbourne to Adelaide. On our first morning we chose to breakfast at Ket bakery and - having sampled croissants between Geelong & Adelaide - we can categorically say - the chocolate almond croissant at Ket is the best we tasted! Congratulations on producing such a great product! We also sampled the berry chausson and the savoury danishes - all delicious! The coffee’s great too!
