KFC Ballan Service Centre — Restaurant in Victoria

Visiting the KFC at Balan Service Centre was a delightful experience, especially when it came to the little details that make a meal memorable. I asked for extra salt on my chippies, and the staff member serving me didn't hesitate to accommodate my request with a friendly smile. It's these small touches that elevate a dining experience and make you feel truly valued as a customer.

This positive interaction at KFC is particularly significant for me because I have a dream of opening my own chicken shop called The Freaky Bird. My vision for The Freaky Bird includes providing exceptional customer service just like the kind I experienced at Balan Service Centre. It's important to me that my future customers feel as appreciated and well-cared-for as I did during this visit. Just had the WORST experience at this KFC. Left with two hungry little children in tears. We waited 25 minutes in store for 2 snack box meals (while the food was sitting there in the warmer). When we asked if we could please have our food served the manager was rude and made excuses that the drive through customers were more important. The older couple next to us had been waiting 1/2 HOUR for a small meal! The girls refused to serve our food to us - even though it was right there behind them. We asked for our money back which took another 10 minutes. Offered no apology, no voucher, nothing and then when I said I will call and speak to head office she screamed “DO WHATEVER! I DON’T REALLY CARE!” We wasted nearly 40 minutes standing in the store for 2 x snack boxes and 6 nuggets...

Arrived and the place was empty. Approx 8.30pm. A lady was mopping the floor. We asked if it was open. She said yes. She then continued mopping while we waited at the counter. We could see plenty of staff in the kitchen but no one serving at the counter. We asked the lady mopping if we would be able to be served and she said she didn’t know. But then she obviously decided perhaps she should stop mopping and serve us, chewing gum all the while. The chips were among the worst I have ever paid for at any restaurant. And they had run out of zinger burgers so I was given two flavourless tenders for the same price. I wish we’d been going in the other direction and we could have gone to maccas.
