We have been to this fish shop twice so this review is a combined overall rating on both visits. First visit I ordered 2x Battered Barra (for one person). This ended up being a mistake, but in a good way. The portion size was HUGE and I mean huge. I have a size 13 foot and each piece was longer and wider than my foot. Both chips and fish tasted just like you would want from a fish and chip shop. I could not have asked for anything better - 5 Stars there! Second round order (a couple of weeks later) did present a different result. It looked like the oil might have been a little old, the fish batter was undercooked and the chips had that yellow look and tasted of the older oil. It was still a decent sized portion that was too big for one sitting so full credit there. But overall I could only give the second visit a 3 star. It was a little disappointing. Would I visit again? Well....yes! I would like to see how the consistency of the order might pan out and just see if it was a possible rare bad day for the second visit. The picture attached is of the second visit.

Potato cake review: if crunchy is what you’re looking for, crunchy is here. These are a crunchy crunchy time. The potato slice inside is a little thicker than I’d like but the crunch makes it all better. So crispy. So crunchy. As far as oil goes, based on the chips we had alongside I’d say it’s fresh. Chicken salt and chips are also pretty great. Currently on our local and frequent list. I’d recommend these to a friend and I’d travel for them. Side note: Customer service was great, was greeted with a smile 😊

We popped into a very busy Long Gully Fish Shop tonight for a feed of fish and chips. The staff were friendly, welcoming and hard working. Ben (?) was cooking up a storm on the fryers, and from what we could gather he was a bit of a favourite with the locals as he acknowledged all the customers in turn and they him. Everything we ordered has was really delicious. I would recommend you consider the Long Gully Fish shop for your next order. Well done team!

We popped into a very busy Long Gully Fish Shop tonight for a feed of fish and chips. The staff were friendly, welcoming and hard working. Ben (?) was cooking up a storm on the fryers, and from what we could gather he was a bit of a favourite with the locals as he acknowledged all the customers in turn and they him. Everything we ordered has was really delicious. I would recommend you consider the Long Gully Fish shop for your next order. Well done team!
