RUDE STAFF! BE AWARE! We got our food from the counter in a short period of time and kids went to car to eat them. Wife decided to have a coffee so we went to the coffee counter.
There was a staff member kept talking to other staff members but she had little effort to complete three coffees in five minutes. Mind you, we can hear orders piling up with other customers coming our side but she kept looking at the orders, play with her hair and laugh about the situation. Another young male staff member came next to her but there was no progress. My wife knew I would say something so I went at the back and amusingly watched her incompetence. She started to talk to this young blond staff member (later on found out she was a store manager of another branch). They were enjoying a good conversation about their shift and etc as customers kept piling up.
There was an old couple who kept rolling their eyes about their ridiculous behaviour. Eventually they had their coffee. However they were both cold. They told the staff member who I mentioned earlier about such default. She didn’t take it well. She threw the cups harshly into the bin and started to disrespect them in an attitude.
That’s when my wife stepped in to protect the old couple. She said to her that she needs to respect her elderly and if she doesn’t like her job, she should quiet. Well, what do you know? She started to mouth my wife as well and called her blonde friend “manager”. Two of them started to yell as the other customers stopped everything and stared at us. Quite humiliating really. The “manager”-wanna-be told wife that she will return her money for the coffee and her friend was working in her full capacity. Wife demanded that she wants her coffee. Luckily the real male store manager came in and told us the staff members will be disciplined.
Where are our values people? A teenager telling senior citizens off and it is ok for some.
By the way, there was a guy, who we think that was her father tried to shut my wife rudely but you had to see the elderly man telling him off in intervening.
Terrible situation to be in really. I will report this matter to their head office and want written apology by the...
Read moreDisclaimer: It's a McDonalds by the side of a busy road in the middle of country Victoria.
That said, it's part of the world's largest franchise group that should maintain some semblance of appreciable quality, service, and atmosphere. However, for the most part, it fails dismally on all fronts.
The general atmosphere both inside and out is bordering on depressing. The gardens are riddled with litter and in desperate need of maintenance. The bins are overflowing with empty packing. Inside, it's just as bad and don't get me started on the lavatories. They're positively third world, enter at your own risk type conditions. Toilet paper on the floors, toilets not flushing properly, toilet bowls that look like they haven't been cleaned in weeks, basins covered in an unhygienic amalgamation of dirt, soap and human DNA... It's enough to give someone Dehli Belly just at the site of it all. The dining areas also seem to be overrun with empty wrappers and packing, cleaning signs placed like bollards in the thoroughfares, yet ironically, no one actually cleaning anything? Go figure, right?
The staff seems completely disinterested, and service is almost non-existent. Forget a hello or greeting. Instead, expect a matter of fact, ineffectual, bordering on robotic, "what will it be?" If that doesn't completely disenfranchise you... then trust me, the stuff they serve will. I could go and on here, but the fries were cooked to within an inch of solid lard strips of near rocklike material. The burgers were haphazardly assembled, resembling more abstract art than food. All tossed into a brown paper bag at premium McDonalds prices. This was possibly one of the worst McDonalds visits anywhere on the planet. I thought I was in the ghettos of downturn San Francisco, not good old country Victoria. I can't begin to imagine how unpleasantly surprised foreign tourists must feel when arriving here?... But hey, don't just take my word for it, I would invite anyone who reads this review to refer to the images I took and posted as well. It's not good... It's bad. It's very bad... especially for the...
Read moreThis was the worst McDonalds I've ever seen..if I was a customer service reporter, I would have failed them...from the filthy carpark, walking inside I found it not any better...Maybe they were understaffed or the manager didn't know how to delegate duties but I worked at McDonald's for four years in high school on weekends and evenings so I know how everything works and this place didn't work at all...The dining room was a disgrace..tables weren't wiped down after people left..There was not only finished trays left on tables but the bins were overflowing and there was napkins screwed up and thrown on the floor amoung other McDonalds packaging . I feel bad for leaving this review but I was really quite shocked... Especially when I saw four young people behind the serving counter..One was serving people and then I found it strange that the people paid and then stood back and waited for their food when their number was called ???? I'm used to walking in and being served and while I scurry through my purse for money the server collects my order from the hot shelves and I pay and walk away with it.. I've never seen this wait for your number to be called system..???? And we all seemed to be waiting about five minutes at least...I'm used to McDonalds being instant gratification...not waiting, unless you are the one unfortunate customer whose got a special order being cooked for you without pickles or mustrd (for example)..maybe if I had not worked for McDonalds previously, I wouldn't be so picky as I know the level that is expected of them but no business should look this way when one of the staff could have spent five minutes to quickly get it back to the standard we have all come to know...
