Unfortunately I don't think I'll return again after today. The menu has been changed in the past few months. Previously I was told that the chips were gluten free, now they're not. I'm guessing because of the new menu there's now non-gf products in the fryer. I had ordered the chicken club sandwich gluten free and mentioned I'm coeliac. I was then told it would come without the chips, and the only substitute they could do is salad. I asked if they could just make it cheaper as it would have no chips, and the waiter said they could do it half price. When we went to pay we were told they could only take $5 off. I also had stomach pains afterwards so I'm not sure if they did take precautions when handling the gluten free bread. Very sad that they have had a menu change as I used to feel comfortable eating here as a coeliac, and now it's gone the way of ever other mainstream cafe :( ‐---- My partner and I had brekky here this morning, there was a sign up apologising for them being short staffed, but we were served and received food very quickly. I love that most of the menu can be gluten free, and they have actually have gluten free buns for burgers as opposed to sliced white bread like most cafes. The gf brekky burger was very nice, and my partner enjoyed his French toast. We both had mochas which weren't overly sweet or chocolatey, but their regular coffee might be better. The staff were friendly, our waitress did a great job serving all the tables on her own. For a busy Saturday on their opening weekend, I felt they did an amazing job. We will return soon to try...
Read moreWe celebrated Mother’s Day at Skinny Dippers and were absolutely delighted by the warm atmosphere, thoughtful service, and delicious food. From the moment we arrived, the staff made every mum feel special with complimentary chocolates and genuine smiles all around.
A beautiful balance of hearty classics and modern favourites. The Chorizo Benedict was cooked to perfection, with velvety hollandaise and crispy bacon on fluffy sourdough. The waffles were a standout too. We also tried the Farmer's omelette and Lamb Shakshuka, both were amazing and generous.
Coffee was smooth and rich, served promptly, and the chai latte was perfectly spiced. Even the little touches like table decorations and hand-written reservations made the experience feel intimate and genuine.
Thank you, Skinny Dippers, for making this Mother’s Day so special. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a warm, welcoming spot with top-notch food and a lovely community.
Special thanks to Chef Abhi for accommodating us on...
Read moreWe go here when we can, and nearly every time there are issues. The staff are NOT attentive, leaving cutlery missing from the table, saying they will be back and never returning, and not paying attention to meals being served together. If 2 meals are ordered by 2 people, from the same table, with coffee, it is absurd to receive them over 20 mins apart, and even then it was only because I complained. That’s on the cooks, who are evidently NOT trained chefs with commercial experience. “ table 5 cooking now”, and THATS when you make coffee and smoothies. A non existent manager puzzles me; who is taking responsibility? Do random people just walk in and start organising? No surcharge sign can cost you ACCC fines. Don’t sneer at me when I mention this nicely. It’s disappointing as the food is always fresh and tasty. We go back every...
