Wow this is an excellent surprise! Located right on the lake is Stock & Barrel which not only does good food the but has the architecture and scenery to match!

We dropped by to grab a bit on a late afternoon and saw this place is open 24hrs. Great! (Not sure if food will be 24hrs though). So we drove down, past the gold course and you get to the end of the road that takes you to the well designed and beautiful area that is the restaurant and the hotel.

Stock & Barrel is the low lying building on the left and make sure you stand by the black sign to be greeted by the grand sliding door! Amazing.

Inside has a moody feel and very high end. The staff are friendly and the space is well spaced out (I assume for social distancing). We quickly checked out the menu and luckily were able to sit out the back to eat. The menu is simple but that is GOOD as you don't want to over complicate things. Menu items are interesting though and not just typical old Nana pub food. Another plus.

Then you step out to the back area and the view is just incredible.

We ordered from the QR code and needed our table wiped down. Was trying to grab the attention of any of the floor staff but they seemed to have their tunnel vision on (that's the only one piece constructive criticism I'd give) and we had to wait until the staff who served our drinks to request to wipe our table down.

Shortly after our burgers arrived and they were super tasty and love the waffle fries. They have a nice flavour and crispy outside while super soft inside. The burgers are tasty too. I had the cheeseburger and my partner the chicken. Cheeseburger has a tang and sweetness to it which was delish and the chicken burger tasted fresh with the slaw and crispy species breast. I look forward to trying the out the rest of the menu +...

What an absolute disaster. Venue was recommended to us by locals. So decided to try The Stock & Barrel at The Sebel for lunch. Arrived and were welcomed by Front of House and pleasantly seated with menus and water. We sat at table waiting for table service to take our order. Guests at nearby long table had just left to which wait staff decided to clear that table before taking our order. Upon my glearing look at the wait staff the lady continued to clear the other table. Only then was our order taken. We immediately thought the service here was not to a level you would expect from such an establishment. But given our order was not taken the end game might be OK. Well sadly how wrong were were. Another nearby table who's gests were already seated and eating on our arrival had finished their meal. That table was cleared and new guests were seated about 20 minutes after we arrived. The when we noticed that their orders had been delivered to their table it confirmed that this restaurant is in total shambles.... be it their wait staff / kitchen staff or both or their methods of handling customer orders. Having asked where our meal was at the wait staff said she would check with kitchen. Given I had direct visibility of the Kitchen the reaction from the Kitchen appeared to me to be something along the lines of 'what order was that'. Waiter checked order machine and yes order was taken but nothing was done at kitchen end from what I could make out..... We simply said to Front of House, sorry but we are leaving now..... he apologised. Simply this business needs a good wake up....where's GORDON RAMSEY when you need him. A good verbalising by the likes of Gordon is needed here ASAP. A total joke Stock & Barrel and not worthy of...

Has so much potential, but they currently don’t have their act together.

Came here on a Sunday afternoon after confirming with the venue only 2 weeks prior that this was their only slot for live music. Was really disappointed to find out upon turning up (despite being in contact via email) that not only was there no music, but there was less than 5 people there in total out of the 50 + tables they have. The atmosphere and vibe was 0/100 which ironically was the main reason for attending.

The drinks prices are high, and further we believe our ginger beers had been watered down having had the same branded pours at 2 pubs in previous days.

Whilst apologies were made and the mistake was owned by the team members on duty regarding the music, there was no effort to compensate or remedy the situation which was really disappointing.

We were a group of 7 with a young baby, having travelled out specifically after speaking with the venue. It’s simply not good enough and I can see why there is a poor rating for this venue.

The venue is incredible, the fit-out is fantastic and the views unparalleled - however given the capacity of the venue and the current interest in it, change needs to happen to attract and satisfy customers.

Also note for management, maybe it is due to your association with Accor but the website and trying to find information is very tough, e.g. how your fine dining restaurant is closed, or live music , or any daily...

The Stock and Barrel foodery is located on the magnificent Sebel Yarrawonga resort overlooking Lake Mulwala, Victoria. A plethora of options for entrees, mains and dessert topped off with wood fired pizza options and dietary requirements also taken into consideration cater to all foodies! The amazing executive chef Kimberly focuses dishes on local and regional ingredients with a consideration on seasonal dishes reflecting the rich culinary and wine history of the area. We were incredibly impressed with our breakfast and dinner with the boutique artisan breakfast more akin to a work of art and equally devoured. The medium rare grilled scotch fillet, charcoal in flavour was cooked to the absolute perfection, with what I would consider the best crumbed squid iv ever had. All topped off with a couple of pizzas and some garden salad. The executive chefs recommendation of the barramundi was taken up and thoroughly enjoyed. The Stock and Barrel can be enjoyed as a visitor or in house guest at the Sebel with lovely staff, great selection for dining, magical setting and an extensive drinks list and what would have to be one of the most impressive bars South of the Murray. Many thanks to executive chef Kimberly, and floor hosts Tracy, Kim and Stefano.
