Taco Bill - Bacchus Marsh — Restaurant in Victoria

First time Taco Bill eaters. Will definitely be coming back. Lots of parking available. Upon walking up to the entrance I was taken back by the peaceful surroundings. Felt like I was in the middle of nowhere. Lots of indoor seating with amazing views & a wood heater for winter. Plenty of outdoor seating amongst the vines. Service was fantastic. Thank you Malerie for your hospitality, friendly service & smile and knowledge on the food & drinks. You are an absolute asset to this restaurant. Upon being seated, we were instantly provided with a small tasting bowl of salsa & corn chips. Nice touch. We ordered popcorn prawns & corn as a starter. Malerie even accommodated us in having the corn cut up for us so we could both try it, which was packed with flavour. Mains, seafood Burrito. Large serve, great flavour, not shy with the seafood inclusive of prawns & scallops accompanied with beans & rice. Rice was fresh, beans tasty, soft and creamy. Beef fajita was very tasty & served on a sizzling plate which kept it warm, with guacamole, lettuce & rice AND a warmer for your 4 wraps. Side of salsa, cheese & sour cream were extra but not expensive. Beef tender, Capscicum with slight crunch to it & not extra soft & sloppy, onion cooked perfect. I have visited here about 5-6 times and the service from each and every waitress especially Mal is exceptional. Mal is the reason in particular we keep coming back, she is lovely, funny and so welcoming. However, the manager here is a disappointment, rude, a downer of a mood and brings the whole vibe of this place down and needs to be taken out of this establishment as soon as possible.

Example of one of my many experiences with the manager: One time I had come here I was offered verbatim “We have 60 dollar bottomless or 59 dollar bottomless” I asked what’s the difference, she stated “60 dollars for two hours bottomless and 59 dollars for 1.5 hours”. Me and my partner thought “okay 2 dollar extras for 30 more minutes we will go 60” We sat down and I ordered a sangria. They said that it’s not included in the 60. I checked the website because they further advised they did not have the physical brochure for it and it said Sangria was included. I was told that was different and can not change even though I hadn’t been served anything. The staff asked the manager and she straight up said no. To the owners of Bacchus marsh taco bill, get rid of the manager and you’ll see 5/5 reviews, the waitresses are the only reason we keep coming back. Called about 30 minutes prior to see if they had a table for 4 people including a high chair. They said we could come as they had a table. Arrived and they actually did not have a table for us and said we could sit at another table provided we were out by 7 which was fine as it was an hour and a half away. We had to ask 3 times for the high chair and even then waited approx 15 minutes for it to be brought over. We ordered and took 20 minutes for them to bring one beer out and a jug of water. It wasn’t overly busy when we arrived as our booking was for 5:30. Our main items were brought out before 2 kids serves of nuggets and chips. We also didn’t receive the little complimentary corn chips and salsa serving which we seen other tables receive on arrival.
