We are locals and On Sunday 16th June we called the Redesdale Hotel to make a booking and check they were open. The message said they would be closed for a family funeral for a week at the end of May. The website is showing “Open” on Sunday the 16th June 2024. We make the 15k trip to find that the hotel IS CLOSED. ????? So we head to Kyneton for a meal but about one and a half Km out of Redesdale, in the pitch black darkness, we hit a sheep on the Heathcote - Kyneton Road at some speed. The car is damaged and requires significant repair. If the website and phone message had been up to date, this all could have been avoided. The management should be accountable for the lack of accuracy on the website and message. Very disappointing outcome.

First stop on a weekend away with friends after 2.5hrs in the car. The immediate impression is one of familiarity, this is what country pubs look like. The large bluestone walls, corrugated roofing and a grape vine that is decades old stretching along the entire front and side verandah was a lovely place to have lunch. The food was delicious, servings were ample, prices were good and everyone enjoyed their selection. The whole breast schnitzel was a great change from the usually pancake thin version at other places. Staff were friendly, chatty and efficient. If you've got the time, this place is worth a stop in for lunch or dinner.

We recently visited The Redesdale, and it was an excellent experience from start to finish. The country charm of this place immediately made me feel at home. The highlight was definitely the large, tasty main meals—generous portions packed with flavor, perfect for anyone with a big appetite! The service was equally wonderful; the staff were friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was just right. On top of that, the facilities were spotless, which is always a good sign of a well-managed establishment. Whether you're looking for a hearty meal or just a great pub atmosphere, I highly recommend The Redesdale!

Beautiful little country pub always pass this on the way through to heathcote hadn't been until last Sunday first time. Lovely atmosphere had to wait awhile for our meals which were delish however the surcharge on top of what you've already spent which for a country pub was a little pricey!! was quite ridiculous!! wasn't impressed with that as its not like they don't get clientele. Its not as if we're in city at a 5star hotel...bit rich!! for a country pub. My advice would be don't eat there on a Sunday or Public holiday🤷‍♀️ If you can't pay your staff those rates don't open then 🤦‍♀️ because those are the day's you are very busy and making quite a bit of $$$$ so you can afford to put staff on and not rip of your customers who want to support your business in eating at your premises and paying your prices without the extra SURCHARGE added on top of...

The Rescale Hotel Restaurant is an absolute gem! From the moment you step inside, you're embraced by the warmth of a truly old and cozy atmosphere. It feels like a comforting retreat, perfect for a relaxing meal. The staff are incredibly friendly and attentive, making you feel right at home. And the portions? Be prepared to feast! The plates are generous, ensuring you leave completely satisfied. Whether you're after a refreshing beverage or something a little stronger, their large drink selection has something for everyone. Make sure to save room for dessert because their delicious offerings are the perfect sweet ending to any meal. Finally, the extensive wine selection is a delight for any wine enthusiast. I highly recommend the Rescale Hotel Restaurant for a wonderful...
