Excellent pub. Recommended. Years of passing by and it was closed. Found out recently reopened a year ago so decided as we had a few days off work to stop by on the way to Avoca for Friday lunch. Cold day and warm hospitality. Open fire in the rear dinning room. Small public bar at front. Also serves coffee and toasties for pre-lunch travellers. We started with a nice garlic bread. I followed up with a delish Chicken Parma - proper chicken breast. Generous salad. And very crisp chips - none of your soggy chips here. My partner settled for the calamari and enjoyed that just as much. Generous serves but like everywhere- 2024 prices. But you do get generous filling served in return. Nice dog friendly beer garden out back for those summer and spring days.

What a lovely country pub. Parking is easy, the decor is modern yet in keeping with the age of the pub, food is yummy and the service is prompt. I had calamari (soooo tender) and chips (very crunchy and tasty) and salad (needed some dressing. Maybe friend had Vietnamese salad with tofu and he said it was very flavoursome and plenty of it. We both had dessert - bannoffee pie which was delicious but the pastry was impossible to cut with a spoon and golden syrup dumplings which were hot, fluffy and just like Nana used to make. We had Umbrella Man Cabernet Sauvignon - a local wine and very smooth and round in taste.

I've driven straight through Waubra countless times over the last 20 years, though had reason to stop for lunch today. Arriving at what we learned was the end of normal lunch service, thankfully, because they were recently cooking, the team were still happy to take lunch orders from us. The place was nice, clean, comfortable and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. We had a couple of Parmas and a Calamari Salad mains which were very nice, and left fully satisfied. Noticed on our way out that there's a nice outdoor area too which we might try on our next visit.

What a great pub!. I never really leave reviews but this place is worth it. Beautifully renovated, service is second to none! Food was amazing. Very child friendly with plenty of outdoor space with a closed in courtyard out the back, keep the kids safely away from the road with a basket ball hoop and games to keep the kids entertained while we were able to enjoy a couple of drinks after our meal. Colouring was also provided for the kids while they waited for their deserts. We were a group of 4adults, 4children and ran a tab for all of our food and drink for the evening. Come time to pay I was very happily surprised at the price, it was easily $100 cheaper than I was expecting. Will definitely be making this a regular...
